Photos: Woman gets a miniscule 16 inch waist by sleeping in a corset for 3 years
Having a slender waist is the product of a careful diet and plenty of exercise. But not for Michele Kobke, 24. She has shrunk her waist from 25in to just 16in by wearing a corset every day for three years - even while sleeping. And despite now having a waist smaller than most catwalk models, the German slimmer says she hopes to whittle her waist down to a shocking 14 inches.
Do you think this is sexy or dangerous? Would you give it a try? See what she looked like 5 years ago.... when you continue
Undetonated Civil-War Bomb Discovered In Imo
It was a shocking discovery at the Umuoma Autonomous Community in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State at the weekend when indigenes uncovered an undetonated bomb buried in a family compound since the civil war years.
The bomb, suspected to have been laid during the civil war, was buried deep in the soil in one Igbokwe’s compound at Ukwo-Umuoma.
A police source told National Mirror that the bomb was uncovered after several days of rainfall that washed away the top soil, exposing the edge of the bomb suspected to have been buried for over 40 years.
It was not clear whether the bomb was laid by the Nigerian troops or their Biafran counterparts, but a source said the area was the base of Biafran troops when Owerri sector fell to Federal troops during the war.
Some children were playing in the compound after the rain when one of them observed “a strange object” buried in the soil with a part of it revealed, one of the villagers told our correspondent.
According to the source; “The people in the compound did not know that they have been living with a destructive weapon for over 40 years.”
It was learnt that on discovery, the people raised the alarm which attracted passers-by who on close examination suspected it to be an explosive, before they reported the matter at a nearby police station. A police source said that the Anti-Bomb Squad of State Police Command was contacted to detonate the bomb.
“The police bomb experts detonated the bomb at a nearby bush,” the police source said. When the state Police Public Relations Officer, Joy Elemoko, was contacted, she confirmed the incident.

You’re an ingrate, FG lambasts Ribadu
The Presidency, yesterday, reacted to the assertion by former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu that Nigeria under President Goodluck Jonathan is a ‘sinking ship’.
It said that Ribadu is an ingrate considering what the Jonathan administration did for him on his return from self-imposed exile.
Mallam Ribadu at a lecture in Kaduna on Saturday said Nigeria, under President Goodluck Jonathan, was a sinking ship in which the yearnings of the masses were being neglected by a tyrannical leadership.
Reacting to Ribadu’s claim, the Presidency, in a statement, yesterday, by the Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, said in his quest for relevance, Ribadu has resorted to disparaging leaders of the land to satisfy his new leaders.
According to the statement: “The Presidency totally rejects the false, hypocritical and self-serving claim by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu at a lecture in Kaduna on Saturday that Nigeria under President Goodluck Jonathan is a “sinking ship” in which the yearnings of the masses are being neglected by a tyrannical leadership.
“We find it very sad and utterly deplorable that Nuhu Ribadu has resorted to shameless wolf-crying, the peddling of arrant falsehood and the denigration of the elected government of his fatherland in furtherance of his selfish quest for continued national political relevance after his wholesale rejection by Nigerian voters in 2011.
“It is very unfortunate indeed that the once highly respected former EFCC Chairman has now taken to political prostitution and developed a penchant for irresponsible and reckless utterances aimed at improving the electoral fortunes of his new friends and “leader”, who he once famously denounced as ‘not fit to hold public office’.
“There can be no doubt that nothing else but blind ambition for an office for which he is clearly unfit is driving Ribadu to infer that an administration led by a President who welcomed him back to the country after his self-imposed exile, restored his rank in the Nigeria Police to save him from the shame of demotion and converted his dismissal from service to retirement has now become tyrannical and anti-people. We take special note of his ingratitude.
Ribadu was a tyrant — FG
“If Nuhu Ribadu wants to talk of tyranny then he should talk of the days when he orchestrated the impeachment of governors with an illegitimate quorum of legislators who had been threatened by the EFCC under his watch.
It beats the imagination that Nuhu Ribadu, a man who once presided over an EFCC which in 2007 compiled a list of disqualified politicians aspiring for office without a court order or legal backing now has the guts to accuse the man under whom Nigeria has had the most credible elections in this Fourth Republic of being the leader of a sinking ship.
Can there be a greater tyranny than the tyranny of removing governors via undemocratic means and barring legally entitled persons from contesting elections?
“Nothing else but misguided ambition could have driven Ribadu to urge Nigerian youths to rise up and save the country from an administration which he willingly served recently, but which he now duplicitously and insincerely claims is “imposing private interests on the majority.
“It is certainly the height of hypocrisy for Ribadu who built his entire reputation as an anti-corruption crusader by completely disregarding the rule of law and recklessly trampling on the rights of perceived enemies of the government of the day, to now accuse an administration that has consistently upheld the rule of law and respect for fundamental human rights of being tyrannical.
“It is only a shameless man that will turn around and accept to be the political lackey of a man he once openly accused of corruption at various times between 2004 and 2007. Now that he has been used and abused by the undemocratic overlords that reign over the ACN and fearing that he may soon be dumped now that that vehicle is about to be subsumed into the so called All Progressives Congress, Ribadu is desperately seeking fresh relevance.
“Ribadu’s descent into a moral abyss since leaving the exalted office of EFCC Chairman, his equally ethically-challenged new friends and his willingness to vituperate against any person or institution he perceives as a challenge to the fulfillment of his unattainable ambitions, have clearly exposed him for what he truly is – a thoroughly unprincipled attention-seeker whose entire career in the public service was built on bootlicking and doing the bidding of the powers of the day without a care for legality which should have been his primary concern as an officer of the law.
“President Jonathan and his Administration will not be distracted from the diligent implementation of the agenda for national transformation by the falsehoods and vituperations of Ribadu and his new friends.
“Far from being tyrannical as Ribadu falsely alleged in Kaduna, President Jonathan will, as he has consistently done since assuming office, continue to strengthen institutions of democratic governance in Nigeria, uphold the fundamental human rights of all Nigerians including the youth, and protect their right to elect leaders in free, fair and credible elections,” the statement concluded.

Man commits suicide in church premises
A 67-year-old church guard identified as Matthew Isidahume, yesterday, reportedly committed suicide with his lifeless body found dangling within the premises of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Gbagura, Ago- Oka, in Abeokuta North Local Government of Ogun State.
It was learnt that members of the church who converged for the morning prayers discovered the corpse of the deceased where he allegedly hung himself.
Contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the incident said three guards were supposed to be on duty when the incident happened.
Adejobi said: “The deceased left a suicide note which is currently assisting us in our investigation, but the command will do a thorough job toward getting to the bottom of the matter.”
However, a member of the church council, who identified himself as Adekunle Adegoke, said the deceased was the church’s night-guard, adding that those who came for the morning prayer meeting met the gate locked and waited for about 30 minutes thinking the late Matthew was busy.
He said: “When there was no trace of him, the people decided to push a small boy across the fence and the boy later returned with the sad news that Matthew had hung himself.
“Really, if you see him, the first thought will be that there was a sort of complex issue, probably there is a foul play. But looking closely you will see his footprints on the generator which showed that he climbed, tied something on his neck and then jumped.”

Kanye West: “I Don’t Care About Selling”
Kanye West is weighing in again…but this time, it’s on himself.
Hitting the Governors Ball in NYC last night, the Rapper arrived at the event to debut new material from his forthcoming LP ‘Yeezus‘…and share his thoughts on why he no longer cares about selling records.
His words below…
“With this album we ain’t drop no single to radio. We ain’t got no NBA campaign, nothing like that. Shit, we ain’t even got no cover. We just made some real music. Like, back when I used to make albums and shit, a couple years ago, we’d go away and work on the album for months or something.
We’d always have to hold the album to like August, or September or till the perfect moment and shit. Because it mean that ‘I think would sell more if it get more audience and shit.’ But honestly at this point when I listen to radio, that ain’t where I want to be no more.
Honestly at this point, I could give a fuck about selling a million records as long as I put out an album for the summer that y’all can rock to for all fuckin’ summer… At this point I don’t really give a f*ck about outside opinion.”
As a performer whose sales have oft put many a Pop Princess to shame, we’re sure we’re not the only ones surprised by West’s remarks.
For, it’s pretty interesting that he’s developed such disdain for the machine that put him on the pedestal he now looks down on it from.
Of course, while the simplistic nature of the project should see him cut costs and reap greater profits than he would have done had he gone the ‘mega campaign’ route, there are some who feel his strategy this time around is more lazy than it is artistic.
A ploy, according to some, to claw back his credibility as a musician’s (and not a celebrity) after kissing it away with every public appearance made with Tabloid Tammy herself, Kim Kardashian.
Basically…it’s hard to keep it real when one’s brand is smothered in fake.

11-yr-old Orphan Raped To Death In Anambra
An 11-year-old girl, Chinecherem from Uruagu Nnewi, Anambra State, allegedly raped by her madam's 32-year-old son is dead now.
Chinecherem, an orphan and the only surviving child of her parents, according to Sunnews, was raped at night by her mistress’s son on May 27, 2013 at Uruezi Egbema Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area where she was serving as a maid.
On the night of the incident, the victim’s madam had travelled out leaving Chinecherem and her son to take care of the house.
“When Ifeanyi defiled her, she started bleeding in the morning. He disappeared after molesting Chinemerem and it was his father (Ifeanyi’s father) who discovered that something was wrong in the morning and took the little girl to a hospital, where she was crying in agony, touching her private part before she gave up on June 3, 2013.
Hospital authorities confirmed that there was a lot of semen deposited in her private part.
The victim was said to have lived with the family for seven years and had taken her common entrance to enter junior secondary school before she met her death.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Anambra State Police Command, Awka, Mr. Emeka Chukwuemeka confirmed the incident and said investigation was still ongoing while the suspect is still at large.

Mohammad Assaf: The Gaza Rocket
His performance of Arabic classics is truly captivating, but the show’s producers know he is capable of so much more. In later episodes he gave them party songs in the Lebanese style and he literally brought down the house and sparked parties in Arab homes and Palestinian streets. He has a loud multi-octave voice when he needs, and the soft and touching voice when he is doing a romantic songs. He seems to have perfect combination that makes a star stand out in a crowded music industry and sluggish music market. Then he was asked to do a fun dance Palestinian song. As He sported the traditional Palestinian scarf and sang, the audience in the studio went bonkers--dancing and clapping as he charmed his way into their hearts. The judges would even dance and sing during his performances. Each time he delivers a song, he unleashed a love fest from the audience and the judges who shower him with praises. One particular judge feels like a father to him and has taken key interest in Assaf. I am referring to Lebanese super star Ragheb Alamah who was his earliest and remains his biggest fan.
Each time Assaf performs, a judge tells him he should be the Arab Idol. In his last performance he did a cover of one Saudi song beloved in the Gulf region and he had that region head over heels. He got into the song and made it his. This was great because it opened the floodgates from the affluent voters from the part of the world. In this way he has locked in three important corners of the Arab world: he sang songs from Beirut, did covers from one Egyptian legend and now did the same thing with a Saudi classic.

[PHOTOS] Delta State University Lecturer Caught Pants Down With Female Student
It was learnt that the lecturer had insisted on having sex with the student without which she will continue to fail the 200 level course.
According to information, the student’s refusal to accede to her lecturer’s amorous desire was the reason she has been failing the course since her second year.
However, last Friday, Mr Ifeanyi, who is working towards earning his Ph.D Degree from the same university, had gone to see the female student with the understanding that he will come along with her exam scripts and after sleeping with her, upgrade the scores immediately, not knowing that she had a hidden.
Sources said the female student had planned with her male friends and some neighbours to barge into her room whose door she left unlocked once she had gotten Mr Ifeanyi undressed.
Luckily for her, according to reports, her game plan was successful as the promiscuous lecturer removed his clothes almost immediately he entered her room. The lady then signalled her male friends who rushed into the room to bundle the lecturer out of the room.
Mr Ifeanyi was dragged out of the lady’s room without any piece of clothe on with the help of her neighbours and male friends.
Realising his game was up and the damaging effect it would have on his career, the lecturer pleaded and asked for forgiveness but the now angry group insisted on taking their pound of flesh as he was molested and told to pose for photographs as evidence of his misdeeds.
According to some students of the Theatre Arts department who spoke on the condition of anonymity and for fear of being victimized, they said the lecturer was in the habit of blackmailing his female students into sleeping with him just as they also accused him of constantly bragging of being untouchable because he purportedly belongs to a dreaded campus cult.
The students added that any male student who fails Ifeanyi’s course, is forced to part with five thousand (N5,000) or risks carrying over the same course.
Reacting to the allegation when contacted, Mr Ifeanyi said he had nothing to say as the school authority was handling the matter.

British queen's husband, 91, to undergo 'exploratory' surgery
Prince Philip, the 91-year-old husband of Britain's Queen Elizabeth, was to undergo "exploratory" surgery on his abdomen on Friday.
His wife of 65 years carried on with her official engagements, visiting the BBC just half a mile from the hospital where Philip's operation will take place.
Philip, who turns 92 next week, was admitted to the London Clinic on Thursday and is expected to remain for two weeks after what Buckingham Palace described as "an exploratory operation following abdominal investigations".
Royal aides said the surgery would be done on Friday. It will be fourth time Prince Philip, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, has undergone hospital treatment since Christmas 2011.

Philip was admitted to hospital during the queen's Diamond Jubilee last year with a bladder infection, putting a dampener on celebrations to mark the milestone.
The 87-year-old queen visited the BBC's newly opened headquarters alone on Friday. She left without making public reference to Philip's hospital stay.
Philip was taken to the London Clinic by appointment after attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace with Queen Elizabeth. Television footage showed him in a grey top hat and tails, smiling and chatting with guests.
Married in 1947, Philip - the son of the exiled Prince Andrew of Greece - has proved a steadfast albeit sometimes controversial consort to the Queen, renowned in Britain for his outspoken comments and off-the-cuff remarks.
"I think he has done a fantastic job supporting the queen," said Margaret Stead, 66, near the clinic. "He's in the best hands at the London Clinic."
Against a backdrop of trumpets and cheering crowds, the queen and Philip were recently joined by 2,000 guests at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday to celebrate 60 years since her coronation.
"My best wishes to the Duke of Edinburgh who is in hospital," Prime Minister David Cameron said on Twitter on Thursday evening. "I hope he has a swift recovery."

Oyo, Osun join Ogun, declare June 12 public holiday
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the infamous June 12.
The Oyo and Osun state governments on Monday declared Wednesday as work free to commemorate the June 12, 1993 Presidential election, cancelled by the military government of the time.
In a statement in Ibadan, Festus Adedayo, the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Media, said the holiday was to mark the 20th anniversary of the election, adjudged the freest and fairest in Nigeria’s political history.
The statement said the holiday was also a recognition of the martyrdom of the late Moshood Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the election.
It said Mr. Abiola ought to be honoured for laying down his life for Nigerians to enjoy democratic governance.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Information in Osun, Sunday Akere, said in a statement in Osogbo that the holiday was to recognise when an election adjudged the freest and fairest in Nigeria was annulled.
Mr. Akere said that June 12 would continue to stand for democracy and good government and as such nothing was too much to honour the day.
Ogun State had on Sunday also declared June 12 a public holiday.
