Chris Brown and Drake are still fighting eight months after their infamous NYC nightclub brawl except this time, they’re using their lawyers instead of bottles.
According to TMZ, the two are suing each other, claiming that the other party started their fight last June 14, which left multiple people, including female patrons, NBA star Tony Parker, and even Brown himself, injured from the broken glass that rained down on the VIP section of W.i.P. in Manhattan’s SoHo neighbourhood.
Their reasoning? Both Brown and Drake, as well as the club, are being sued by a French-born model named Romain Julien, who claims he was left with limited mobility in his right hand following surgery he required for a severed tendon he sustained in the fight.
If a judge rules in favor of Julien, both Brown and Drake want to be sure the other man will be the one responsible for paying up.
Neither reps for Brown and Drake, nor Julien himself, responded to omg!’s request for comment on the new report.
Interestingly enough, Julien is following Parker – who is also suing W.i.P. for $20 million for a lacerated cornea he sustained in the melee – on Twitter. Maybe he’s looking for legal guidance in less than 140 characters?
According to witnesses from that night, after a scuffle began between both stars’ camps (reportedly about Rihanna), the “Take Care” rapper was the first to throw a bottle – and that’s when all hell broke loose. But his rep maintains, “Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind … He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. [Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."
