Peter Odemwingie has slammed West Brom after his bid to force a move to QPR broke down amid astonishing scenes.
The Nigeria striker drove down to London to talk to the Hoops, claiming Baggies technical director Dan Ashworth had given his approval for him to do so.
Before doing so, Odemwingie said his goodbyes to his team-mates, convinced the clubs would come to a resolution.
But West Brom maintained no such approval had been given and called in lawyers.
Amid bizarre scenes, Odemwingie arrived at Loftus Road, was refused entry, and left again.
He said: "I don't know what the club wanted. First it was money, then it was a player in exchange. Now they are saying they didn't have time to find a replacement when they knew I wanted to go to QPR for some time."
Earlier in the evening, Odemwingie accused West Brom of reneging on a promise to allow him to join QPR if the Londoners stumped up £3.5million.
He and Ashworth met on Thursday morning, after the Baggies demanded £5m from relegation-threatened Rangers.
Odemwingie insists he was told by Ashworth that he could leave if QPR came up with £3.5m.
Once the Londoners did so, the striker left for London, only to be told as he approached the capital that West Brom wanted Junior Hoilett as part of the deal on loan and to have Hoilett's salary to be paid in full.
