Veteran actor Justus Esiri and Father to Dr. Sid passes on

It is believed Esiri passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. No details yet on circumstances leading to his death yet.

One of the actor’s sons – the very popular pop singer ‘Dr SID’ Esiri put up a photo of Esiri on his Twitter avatar and updated his bio as ‘RIP Dad‘.


Esiri, a long time actor on Nigerian Television started his acting career in the 70s and is most popular for his role as ‘Headmaster’ in the nationwide series Village Headmaster which aired on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

He was married to his wife Omiete with whom he had six children, one of them being Dentist-turned pop artiste Dr SID.
