The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has imposed a N90million fine on one of the major telecommunication provider, Mobile Telecom Network popularly known as MTN for poor service delivery in the month of December last year.
Mr Tony Ojobo, the Director Public Affairs of the commission, disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Abuja.
According to the Ojobo, during the drive test conducted round the country in December by NCC, MTN failed to meet the standard Key Performance Indices (KPI) set for service providers by the commission.
He said that Etisalat, Globacom and Airtel met the set standard except MTN, saying that the commission had given the service provider up to April 3, to pay up the fine.
