MTV’s Hottest MCs List : Kendrick Lamar Believes Kanye West Should Be Number 1

Kendrick Lamar has been named the Hottest MC in the Game after a fortnight of counting down but the rapper says Kanye West deserved to have taken the top spot.

The rapper, who released his debut album, 'good kid, mAAd city' in October, topped the list compiled by MTV which also included Kanye, Drake, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky and Future.

Kendrick learned of his feat earlier this week when the website played a prank on the rapper, leading him to believe that he was filming an episode of RapFix before announcing that he had actually topped the best rapper list.

“That's craaaaaazy,” a stunned Kendrick said in his dressing room. While grateful for the title, the 'Poetic Jusitce' MC believes that 'Clique' rapper Kanye should have ranked higher than the number seven he received.

“Definitely. I mean, it's Kanye. It's Kanye. He's been putting in work for years,” Kendrick told Rap-Up TV.

Kanye couldn't agree more as he embarked on yet another rant this week claiming that he was judged for his love of high end fashion and his relationship with Kim Kardashian.
