"Responsive Readings" (Sunday)

Then His mother and his brothers came; and standing outside, they sent to him and called Him. A crowd was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, "Your mother and Your brothers and sisters are outside, asking for you."
And He replied, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"
And looking at those who sat around Him, He said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother."
Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for a fish, will give a snake instead of a fish? Or if the child asks for and egg, will give a scorpion?
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to His mother, "Woman, here is your son."
Then he said to the disciple, "Here is your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home.
Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
