It seems that more and mroe we are seeing Arab singers use footage form their concerts and appearances part of their music videos. This is not the first one to do it, it has been done in the past, but it seems it's not becoming a standard thing. Arab entertains are also now using footage of their song recording where they stand in front of that funny shaped mic.
This is for sure is a result of the financial crisis and music production companies do not want pay the bill for a hefty music video when the star is a bit risky. Since Arab entertainers are just like all entertainers in the rest of the world, out of sight means out of mind...so they make music videos on the cheap using footage form their concerts and easy to capture images as you see in this music video of Akmal, the handsome Egyptian singer. Those music videos make them relevant and give them some free airtime to send people to purchase their albums. Akmal here plays it safe as he sticks to his style that he has gotten known for, the guy who is good hearted will get shafted.
Good song, and the music video is OK...it does not have much of a storyboard. I gotta say, those footage also swerve another purpose, they show that particular artist is popular with their cheering fans, crowds give them confidence, they food off it. So cheap music videos are not a horrible idea. also notice today's fans all have cameras cellphones and other video devices where they capture those images and upload them to their Facebook page.
