How To Make a Hit It Big In Music?

Unless you are gifted musician who writes his/her own music, then you are out of luck. But you can be in luck if you have a million dollar, this million dollar will buy you a hit that will top the charts.

sure miracles happen and small bands can make it big if the right factors play to their favor. But this is not for everyone. Ever wonder why big name stars mange to climb top of the charts? Sell millions of records and be all over the radio?

NPR spills the beans in this story of theirs (How Much Does It Cost To Make A Hit Song)

  1. Writing Camp: bring the best song writers in the business place them in a studio for two weeks. They will hum together and crank up a hit. Cost $18,000 per song.
  2. Songwriters gets paid $15,000 and the Producer for his music $20,000. Keep in mind the singer has not entered the studio yet.
  3. Vocal producer coaches the singer to shine in the song $15,000 per song. The vocal producer gets the best of the artists and make sure they do not make fools out of themselves.
  4. then once the song vocals are recorded, you get the mix/mastering stage where the song is tweaked and bolts are tightened. This will be the cool price of $10,000

  5. That's all peanuts so far, to roll out a song, and make sure they everyone picks it and talk about it, promote and markets. Yes, this is the stage when you cannot escape a song, compelling you to download it. That would cost a million dollar. Three thirds, one third for the marketing, another for moving the artist, and a third for radio guys and gals.
Clearly business corrupts what's otherwise a very personal and beautiful art form. But that won't be completely true, artists love getting those big paychecks.
