Marwa Nasr Sways On Her TV Interivew
Pop can be silly at times, female pop stars have to work harder than the dudes to find good lyrics and fresh music or so it seems. Now one of those Egyptian ladies of pop is Marwa Nasr that manged to do something different.
She is back in the news talking about her new cover of Sway, a song that she is fond of and had to do. I respect her for choosing that classic, but my hate goes to her when she gave an honest assessment of the way she sings in English and her accent--it takes some guts.
Her style is a fusion of Pop and Tarab, romance with blues with comes up with a good formula that appeals to a larger number of listeners. I came to know her music about three, four years ago and I came to appreciate her vocals and her choice of songs that tend to be real dark at times but real.
