Ramy Essam, The Album For The Revolution's Anniversary

He is politics meets music, activism meets slackers and his name is Ramy Essam, he has a guitar and a lot to say about Egypt starting January 25 2011 to January 25 2012. A lot has happened in this country and Ramy is no historian but he is a good commentator on what he sees happening in Egypt

He made 23 tracks, that should cover just about everything one has to say, from the rally cry "Leave", to "Fallen" and all the way to Revolution Tea. These are stories that Ramy has lived along with his companions in the streets of Egypt.

I must say, the album cover is pretty clear that this is the work of an indie team that finds a lot of meaning in all things in life. I sense more rage in this album, but as Thomas Pain once said, moderation in rage is a good thing, but moderation in principles is not.

As work of music, American and Western listeners can relate to the music, they might be happier if they could understand the lyrics.
