D'banj and Wizkid nominated for 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards

MTV has announced the nominees for the "2012 MTV EMA" with Rihanna leading with six nominations.

MTV introduced the World Wide Act category last year, and five regions are under the category - Africa/India/Middle East, Asia Pacific, North
America, Latin America and Europe. The nominee with the highest vote in each regions will be nominated for world wide act

This year, Nigerian Top Artists - Wizkid and D'banj have been nominated alongside Sarkodie, Camp Mulla, Mi Casa as Best African Artist in the 2012 MTV EMA awards.

Act with the most votes will represent the Africa/India/Middle East region in the World Wide Act category.

The show will take place at Frankfurt, Germany on 11 November, 2012.
