Ekiti State deputy governor, Funmilayo Olayinka, dies of cancer at 52

Ekiti State Deputy Governor Funmi Olayinka is dead.

She died last night after losing the battle with breast cancer.

Her death was announced saturday night by the state government in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information Tayo Ekundayo.

The statement read thus: “The Government of Ekiti State announces with sadness but with gratitude to God, the passing of the State Deputy Governor, H.E. Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adunni Olayinka, aged 52, after a tough but courageous battle with cancer”.
