Stephen Keshi has once again excluded captain Joseph Yobo, from the squad for the Super Eagle’s hectic summer schedule. The Fenerbahce defender, was not invited for the World Cup qualifier against Kenya and has complained of being disrespected by the coach and the Nigerian Football Federation.
There is however a recall for Uche Kalu, who has not featured for over a year for the Nigerian national team.
The champions of Africa will play Mexico in a friendly match on May 31, before two World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Malawi. The Eagles will then fly to Brazil for the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup, where they will representing Africa. Nigeria has been grouped alongside Uruguay, Spain and Tahiti.
