TOP COMEDIAN, BASKETMOUTH CHANGES STAGE NAME

Akwa Ibom born stand-up comedian, MC Basketmouth has changed his stage name. Basketmouth who has in recent times has not been receiving much patronage for shows now goes with the name MC Miracle.

We learnt from a source close to him that one of the reasons MC Basketmouth has changed his stage name is because it conflicts with that of the more popular Basketmouth (born Bright Okpocha). His Facebook name which had been MC Basketmouth had since been changed to MC Miracle.

It could be recalled that Basketmouth carved a niche for himself during the Night of a Thousand Laughs when he did the mind-blowing joke “mfon-obong, itoro-obong, ima-obong, ekom-obong, dem go dey bobong bobong bong bong”.

With his new name (MC Miracle), Connoisseur.com hopes and prays that he gets a miracle and return to be a highly sought-after comedian in Nigeriaas it was before.

Bright Okpocha a.k.a Basketmouth today posted a picture where Victoria Beckham, wife of top football ace, David Beckham is holding the picture (or abi na poster) of his up-coming comedy event in the United Kingdomtagged “Nigerian Kings of Comedy”. After posting the picture on his facebook page, there were diverse reactions from his fans. Some were skeptical on how true and genuine the picture is. A big gun in the comedy business in the country, Basketmouth who recently released a single featuring eLDee Da Don and Wizkid entitled “Where U Dey?” is set to release two more tracks. According to Basketmouth whose real name is Bright Okpocha, he will feature Legendary singer, 2face Idibia and rave of the moment, Davido.

Here is his post in his Facebook page: “I am getting ready to release my next 2 tracks ft: "2face" & "Davido" on each track”.
