Nigerian music star, Pat Akpabio to meet Obama

Nigerian Gospel Music Exponent Evang Pat Akpabio will be headlining the 7th Annual Atlanta Gospel Music, Health and Wellness Festival holding on July 27th & 28th, 2012. Pat Akpabio who is the only African to be inducted into the Gra...mmy Award academy will open for several super star gospel sensations such as the First Lady of Gospel Music Shirley Caesar and Regina Belle.

The event which will be holding at the world renowned Georgia World CongressCenter located at 285 Andrew Young Boulevard will have special attendees such as wife of USpresident Michelle Obama and Liberian President, Sirleaf Johnson. Meanwhile, the United States Senate through a 28 point resolution ( 12 LC 93 1365 Senate Resolution 1167) by Senator James of the 35th honoured Evang Pat Akpabio for excellence in music and for touching mankind through charitable endeavours.

Mrs Pat who recently added Princess to her prefix, has signed an exclusive music consulting agreement with entertainment Mogul Marlon Campbell of A-Match Music Group. The singer confirmed her label, La'Khush Records has signed an agreement, brokered by Mr. Campbell, for major distribution deal with Omni West Media & e-One Entertainment located in Los Angeles, CA.

The new distribution deal encompasses Omni West Media & eOne Entertainment to develop, license, and release albums and other entertainment products in the Gospel genre for Princess Pat Akpabio. The first project will be her new album "I've Got A Feeling," slated for a spring 2012 release.

Connoisseur.com has confirmed that Mr. Charles Umanah, the brother to star gospel act, Pat Akpabio was on Tuesday shot dead in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

We learnt that Umanah who was actively involved in Pat’s two albums was abducted by the assassins on his return to his Ikot Ekpene house and taken to an unknown place where he was shot.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State command has said some arrests have been made as they work assiduously to uncovering those behind the dastardly act.

Umanah, described as one of the most stylish men in Akwa Ibom State was the erstwhile chairman, Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA). Connoisseur.com condoles with Pat on this irreparable loss.
