I’m in love with two men at once. Both of them are waiting for me to make a choice. Choosing one means I will have to lose the other. I can’t decide what to do.
I’m 26 and my boyfriend’s 27. We’ve been together on and off for the best part of a year. He is sensitive, romantic, exciting and passionate but I’ve twice broken with him because of my feelings for my ex.
I was with my ex for almost three years. I was completely in love with him but we began arguing more and communicating less. It got to the point we were fighting all the time. I felt detached from him and started developing feelings for the guy who is now my boyfriend.
We met at the gym and started going for runs together. We got on so well that I realised how serious this was and decided to keep my distance. What I thought was just a harmless crush was taking me away from my relationship - I was cheating emotionally.

HAVE I SLEPT WITH TOO MANY MEN???
I had always planned to remain a virgin till I got married.. I tried to stick to this plan but at the age of 22 I lost my virginity and I absolutely loved it. Its 4 yrs later now and I have slept with more than 15 men. I'm currently in a relationship that I'm hoping would lead to marriage.
The other day my partner asked me how many men I'd been with before him and I said 5! I was too ashamed to say the real figure. Is 15 high? Whats average for a girl my age?

HELP: I THINK I AM PREGNANT FOR A STRANGER
I have always been very protective when it comes to s.ex, but right now i have a feeling that i am preggy. Been having serious headaches and feverish feeling for some days now and i cant just allow myself to see a doctor for the fear of pregnancy test, my dad would kill me if its real, please how can i confirm if i am pregnant without seeing a doctor? Then lastly, is it possible for someone to get pregnant even when the guy used a condom?
SEE HOW LONG LADIES SHOULD WAIT BEFORE GETTING PREGNANT
Ladies shouldn't just be getting pregnant because their men are active in the bedroom:
Having children is a thing of joy for most families, such that those who are not able to achieve pregnancy immediately after marriage consider it a cause to worry about.
However, while some people do everything to achieve conception, others are able to get pregnant anytime they desire. But some drive this luck too far by getting pregnant and giving birth any how...
The question is, how soon should you return to the labour room after the birth of a child?
A study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology says women should be encouraged to wait 12 months after giving birth before conceiving another baby. The researchers argue that intervals of less than six months from delivery to conception of the next baby increase the risk of preterm birth (less than 35 weeks) by 41 per cent.
They say further that intervals of six to 12 months increase preterm birth risk by 14 per cent; while intervals of 12 to 18 months carry no significant increased risk of preterm birth.
Physicians say while there are no specific guidelines stipulating when a woman should conceive after the last delivery, they warn that pregnancy puts so much strain on the woman’s body because of the need to support the baby in the womb and after delivery.
Obstetrician/
Gynaecologist, Dr. Mary Ogidan, says one of the reasons mothers are advised to wait one year before conceiving again is because they may be anaemic as a result of the iron transferred to the baby and placenta during pregnancy, as well as the blood loss that usually attends childbirth.
Women who deliver via Caesarian Section even have more reasons to delay the next pregnancy, Ogidan says. “Women who deliver via a C-Section lose twice as much blood — about two pints on average — as women who deliver vaginally. They must save themselves from possible complications that may result when pregnancies are too close,” she warns.
Such complications include ruptured uterus or a premature or low-birth weight baby, experts say.
When confronted with the fact that many women start raising family late and they may not have the luxury of time, the gynaecologist says for women in their 30s who may be engaged in the race against time, they may start trying to conceive nine months after the first baby, even if they had a C-Section. She says such women must take good care of their health by eating balanced diet and doing everything to stay in top shape, health-wise.
She notes, “It’s not uncommon for women over 35 to have trouble getting pregnant with the second baby, and the risk of having difficulty conceiving increases with age. The best time to get pregnant, however, differs from woman to woman; so, talk to your doctor about your specific circumstances.”
Asked when a woman should commence contraceptive use after delivery, experts have this to say, “Women who have just given birth should wait three weeks before using birth control that contains both oestrogen and progestin, such as the pill, the patch, and vaginal ring. Using these methods in the early weeks after giving birth increases the risk of dangerous blood clots.”
Ogidan says those who delivered via a C-Section or those at risk of blood clots should wait for six weeks after delivery before using any birth control with both oestrogen and progestin.
Does birth control have any advantage? Researchers at Guttmacher Institute, a family planning organisation that advances reproductive health globally, say spacing children has positive impacts on women’s education and participation in the workforce, as well as on subsequent outcomes related to income, family stability, mental health and happiness, and the well-being of their children.
Beyond this, experts say family planning helps you in getting rid of monthly pains associated with your period. The journal, Human Reproduction, notes that cramps are caused by prostaglandins, a chemical that triggers muscle contractions. “When you get your period, your body speeds up prostaglandin production to help shed the uterine lining. Going on oral contraceptives reduces the amount of prostaglandins your body pumps out, so you experience less discomfort,” the researchers say.
Ogidan notes that using combination contraception lowers a woman’s levels of testosterone, which all women make in small amounts. She says this improves the texture of the skin, making it smooth, instead of breaking out in acne or growing excess body hair.
Scientists also say using hormonal birth control makes monthly periods shorter and lighter, so you lose less blood, reducing the risk of anaemia, and leaving you strong, physically.
Ogidan also says women who use birth control pills have reduced cases of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease — a serious infection of the upper reproductive tract which, if left untreated, can compromise a woman’s fertility.
Experts say the progestin in hormonal birth control makes cervical mucus thicker, while research suggests that this forms a roadblock that makes it harder for PID-causing microbes such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea to penetrate the user’s cervix.
In all, experts warn that you should consult your physician before embarking on using birth control pills, as some of them could be dangerous to health.

I'M NOT COMFORTABLE WITH MY HOUSEHELP
You may say I'm being paranoid, but at least hear me out. I think I need spiritually sound christians to advise me correctly.
I got a new househelp recently cos I needed help after I delivered about 6 weeks ago. The problem is that I'm not very comfortable with her. The night b4 she came,I dreamt of an evil bird that flew into our home. 2 days later,I dreamt of a predatory dog that came into our house at night.I don't usually dream such dreams. Yesterday,a cat we don't know where it came from was heard crying in the engine of our car just bought 3 days ago. The cat was found and ran out.
As soon as I set my eyes on her as she stepped out of d car when my husband brought her for the first time,I had an uneasy feeling. Maybe because of my dream the previous night,I don't know. I had actually prayed dt morning for God to stop her from coming if she was not d right person, but here she was already in my house.
On interacting with her,I learnt she is a 30yr old lady, married but separated from her husband. Had 6 children, with only 2 surviving. Her parents told her to leave her husband becos they believed that her husband's 2nd wife was the cause of her children's deaths. Her husband took another wife because her children were dying. She got married 12yrs ago. Due to circumstances, she decided to do d job of a househelp to support herself. She left her children in d care of her parents.

Because she is older,I expected her to be responsible,so I gave her a free hand in my house. But she is misusing it. When I'm bathing my baby or cooking, instead of coming to help, she sits in d parlour watching tv. When visitors come, instead of her to leave the parlour, she sits tight. Does not tell me thank you after eating. Does not do anything unless she is told. She has been with me for 2 weeks, but has not changed baby's diapers once, talkless of bathing her. She just called me now as I was typing this to come and change baby's pampers. And I've shown her countless times how to do it. And I don't like the way she walks into my room uninvited. You would have thought that a married woman would know better.
Funny enough,my husband's relative living with us is more hardworking than she is. The girl even does some of the chores I send the new help out of respect for her. I only needed another person cos she is still in secondary school, and I needed someone to help me since I'm also studying for my forthcoming exams in my masters program. Also I need someone to take care of my baby when I resume from maternity leave. Right now,I can categorically say she is a liability to me,unless she improves.
The bottom-line is I'm not just comfortable with her. What do I do? Mature advice only.

My Story - Folasayo Frances
This is the story of Folasayo Frances, a Visual Artist, Performance Poet, Writer, Public Speaker, Actor, filmmaker - Folasayo performs solo with a live band or recorded music blending vintage Afro-folksy and Afrojazz... She battled with an aggressive form of stomach cancer which is found only in Africans and Asians and after a two year struggle, she died on saturday. Take your time and read her story, It will raise your value of life in everything you do. Her story below:
Like many people I know, I was on the treadmill of life minding my own business, making plans, getting the most out of my life when suddenly I was stopped in my tracks and told to take on a role that not only seems surreal, but seems like I was asked to play a role in someone else’s life, that of a cancer patient.
On Nov 30th 2011, I was admitted to the hospital from the ER when I went in for severe abdominal pain after eating some rice. Prior to this, I had noticed my inability to eat a full meal – one mouthful after my brain tells me I’m full resulted in a sharp pain in the left side of my abdomen. I thought this a bit unusual since I know the stomach is supposed to expand to take in more than the brain agrees with when we insist on ignoring the gauge that says we are satiated. While I did not consciously ignore this, I thought it might be something as benign as an engorged liver since I was on an Iron rich diet at the time due to being anemic. So I went on a fast to detoxify my system and it seemed to work until I decided to break my fast on that November night.
At Memorial Hermann Hospital, I was subjected to a battery of tests and the first thought that came to the attending physician was lymphoma but this was pending a confirmatory pathology report . He said It was no big deal and I would be OK after a few rounds of Chemotherapy. The lab report came back negative - no malignancy. It was all a terrible mistake.
The diagnosis came back as Chemical Gastritis. 6 days later, I was discharged on a liquid diet, was prescribed some meds and told to gradually re-introduce solid foods.
With no improvement and declining ability to eat, I was growing weaker by the day. By January, I was not even able to ingest 1 oz. of liquid at a time, not even water. This was quite terrifying but I kept hoping things would get better. I was planning shows for my new musical band for Feb 1st, going about as if all was well with me. By now I had lost a considerable amount of weight and while some looked at me and thought how lucky I was to be so svelte, only one friend saw through this and thought something was seriously wrong with this picture. To cut a log story short, she came over to my apt. on Jan 30th to check in on me, I was too weak to even get to the door to let her in, and she took one look at me and called 911. That call literarily saved my life. At the ER, they could not find a vein in me for hours to put in an IV line, and when they eventually got my lab results out, they said I was so severely dehydrated and malnourished I could easily have slipped away and died within a week!. The starvation mode may have also been why I didn’t realize how bad things were, it had affected me mentally as I was so disillusioned about my reality. This ER visit resulted in my hospitalization
which lasted about 3 months. This thus began my journey into uncertain territory.
It took three months for the doctors – dozens of them, to come up with a diagnosis. Three valuable months. I was put through a battery of tests, zapped with what I consider too many X-rays, CT Scans and a PET Scan, 3 major surgeries and having to make tough decisions that could mean life or death during this “incarceration” at the hospital. All the tests came back inconclusive and definitely no malignancy. During one of my later endoscopies what was growing in my stomach was so rapid and had resulted in complete stricture of my duodenal ducts – which is where the liver and pancreas dumps its secretions. So I developed a severe case of jaundice and had to be fitted with a tube that drains my liver into an external bag I wear around my thigh. I still have to wear this bag. The other goal for the doctors was to try to keep me alive on elemental nutrition via TPN through a piccline that went from under my arms into an artery that feeds directly to my heart. The thought was scary, and there was a very high risk for life threatening infections. But at this point, this was the only choice available. I was on TPN - A $2000 diet a day – for 2 months. At my lowest I weighed 94lbs!. I am gradually regaining the weight now and I am 102lbs. Without adequate weight gain I could not have surgery. Eventually, they felt I was strong enough to have some exploratory surgery that will hopefully shed more light on this “mystery” illness. By this time I had become a “VIP” patient at the hospital, with every specialty coming to prod and probe and using this as a potential teachable moment for their students. My case was presented at conferences and meetings in the hope of finding some doctor who may have had a patient present with similar symptoms. 7 pathologists up to this point had looked at the slides from various endoscopic samples to no avail. The first exploratory surgery was for 9 hours, this also included putting in a feeding tube through the upper part of my small intestine bypassing my stomach, as both my upper GI and lower GI were no longer connected. This is how I would be feed from now and am still being fed. Hopefully after my treatment is over I would not need this – keeping my fingers crossed as this is no way to exist. The surgeon I was informed later backed out of making an incision because my stomach was too fibrous and thus too dangerous to open up since he wasn’t sure how he would close it back up. So 9 hours, no result. Other things were done during this procedure that was as a secondary result of all that was going on in my stomach affecting other parts of my internal organs.
So the next step was for the GI doctors to try to convince the surgeons to try again, which they blatantly refused. They said, we can’t touch her – too risky. So the GI doctors decided to do something called an endoscopic ultrasound to drill through the stomach and try to get a cross-sectional / column sample. This was done on my birthday!. What a way to spend my birthday. My brother Wale had flown in from Seattle to spend my birthday with me, but I was quite groggy from the anesthesia. We sill somehow managed to make it a good visit.
Pathology report came back again no malignancy, inconclusive. The doctors were now really backed against the wall. So once again, the GI doctors had to go back to meet with the 3 major surgeons to try to plead on my behalf as I was running out of options. They feel that whatever is going on is serious and urgent as it was growing so rapidly, I had no lumen in my stomach and it had become one solid mass. However, they cannot treat a situation they don’t have a diagnosis for. One of the surgeons finally agreed to do a full thickness biopsy but had a long session with me where he had to explain in full details all that could go wrong. I asked him a ton of questions about what he would do differently this time to minimize my risk. His back up plan is to plug my stomach with a G-tube if he can’t suture it back together. Fully understanding all that is involved, I signed the consent form. I was given just a few hours to make all of these important decisions. This was also just 4 days after my last surgery. I had barely recovered. Surgery went well, sample was sent to the lab while I was still under anesthesia to make sure the Pathologist has all he needed because the surgeon swore there was no way he would operate on me again. Pathologist was happy with the sample and I was stitched back up successfully with no need to plug the hole with a G-tube.
It took more than a week for the result to get back. Two solemn doctors walked into my room and I just knew the news was no good. So I told them, please level with me. “You have stomach cancer, and it is a pretty aggressive form of cancer” –this I later found out to be true: The type of cancer I was Signet Ring Cell Adeno -Carcinoma. This from of cancer I have, they say only occurs in Africans and Asians. Not at all common in the West. I was stoic, didn’t flinch, but had so many questions. Why did it take so long to come up with this diagnosis, what had all the previous test specific for cancer missed this? Why didn’t some of the doctors clue in on the symptoms I was presenting?. Why why why? But never once did I ask why me?. My oncologist later said, this had nothing to do with my lifestyle, as anyone who knows me know I ate healthy, mostly organic foods, I don’t even use a microwave at home to heat up my food!. He says it possibly could have been a virus that attacked me while I was growing up in Nigeria and possibly denatured some cells and caused a mutation - which then laid dormant for many years until something triggered them off to act “rebellious”. So no, it was no fault of mine I developed cancer, just luck of the draw – could have been anyone, so why not me? Right…perhaps it chose me because I have a fighting spirit and have a lot to live for, so for sure I’m not going anywhere till my God-given days are up…which I suspect won’t be for a very long time as I have many many projects and dreams to fulfill. This is a battle of my life for my life, and as much as one is never prepared for this type of news or circumstances, when the news hits you, you muster all you can within you to make you battle ready. My first response to the doctors who broke the news was Ok, so it is Cancer, how do we fight this? In a sense it was a relieve knowing what we are now faced with, as opposed to months of uncertainty. They were surprised I wasn’t hysterical or crying, the tears came later in privacy, but my first reaction was that of, after everything my body had been subjected to in the 3 months leading up to my diagnosis – all the pain, anxiety, unpleasant tests etc, many times, not even feeling I inhabit my own body, what could be worse. Please bring it on! Let’s just get rid of the disease.
During my first visit with the Oncologist, My brother Wale, came with me. He took one look at me sprawled on the examination table, unable to lift my head up – he said “ I can’t give you Chemo, you are too sick, you won’t survive the treatment”. Here I was, hoping that finally, the drug that could possibly save my life will be administered, and I was being told I could not have it. Just the knowledge that this monster inside of me keeps growing was very concerning, but the Doctor of course was right. So I was again admitted to the hospital for 11 days to get me well enough for my first Chemotherapy treatment.
By the second visit to my oncologist, I was an outpatient, still extremely weak and in a wheelchair, I visited with my dad – this day was the one day I got a bit depressed. The Doctor In front of my 74 year old father plainly said, with very little emotion that he thinks this disease will eventually take my life, but they will do the best to extend it. My cancer is Stage 4. He left the room shortly after that to consult with another Physician. The silence in the room was palpable, the thoughts swirling in my head and my dad’s head hung over us like a dark cloud preceding a terrible storm. I could see my dad face totally drained of blood, and the emotions on his face was too painful to watch. Finally, he broke the silence “ Folasayo, you will live, you will not die, ignore what the doctor just said”. That is my dad, always so positive even when facing the worst news. When the doctor came back in I said in a voice I did not recognize as my own “ Doctor M. what you just told me about my prognosis, while I respect your medical expertise, that is your own opinion, do your part and I’ll do mine, I will not die, you’ll see”. He said, “I just don’t want you to be too hopeful’. By the next day, I was back to my old self , somehow, I just never felt that death was in the cards for me. I am a divinely inspired Artist , and I have so many projects in the works, God and I are not finished yet.
Now that I’m seeing an oncologist, I have a clearer picture of my treatment plan. I had switched hospitals to a county hospital, for many reasons, mostly financial, but also because their Oncologists are all affiliated with one of the best cancer treatment centers in America – MD Anderson. The first phase of my treatment is 8 rounds of Chemo, evaluation, possibly surgery to remove my entire stomach, and perhaps more Chemo. It’s a long journey I’m on, if I say I’m not scared, I would be lying, but my faith sees me through the uncertainty of what life will be post my treatment – this is my main concern. I don’t know anyone without a stomach personally, but I’ve heard of people who have heard of others. I Know it will dramatically change my life, It would not be the end of the world or the worst thing that could happen to a human being - but my prayer too is for a miracle – for a cure. God works wonders, I am hopeful. Chemotherapy is tough, my own experience with it is unique to me, as is every other Chemo patient, but the first Chemo I had, my body was like “what the heck”!!. That’s all I’m going to say. I just had Chemo # 6 and the effects are a lot easier to tolerate. They give me the maximum dose you can safely give a human being every two weeks, and so far so good, I have only had to be hospitalized once for a Chemo-related event with dangerously low white blood count, and that has been addressed with an injection that costs $6000 a dose every time I get my Chemo. My body has become a very expensive commodity to maintain and keep alive…it’s surreal, but I’m truly grateful to be alive!.
People ask me, how do you deal with the pain and all? Honestly, I am tired of being sick at this point, but I have been able to revive my strength by asking God who has an infinite source of energy to infuse me with strength, and that has never failed. I also have a habit of visualizing myself laying helpless at the foot of the cross and imagine myself being infused with energy by the drops of blood from the wounds of Christ. My other ammo is to unite my pain with the suffering of Christ from the Garden of Gethsemane all the way to the cross and knowing that my Cross is light compared with
I could wallow in self pity and wish someone to wake me up from this dream, but it would serve me better acknowledging that this indeed now is my reality. Accept it, and make the most of what I term my second life. I see this in the light of the plight of Job in the Bible – My life will be abundantly richer when this is all over. This is what I believe. what He had to endure, yet He helps me to bear the burden. These visuals and affirmations in truth have been extremely helpful seeing me through.
I have had so much love, compassion and encouragement come my way from some of the most unexpected quarters, even people I have been previously estranged from. In this period, I lost my beloved dog Bibi, and my other dog is being fostered by someone I had never even considered a friend. This means a lot. I have had so many people reach out to me, I am so overwhelmed with how much I feel loved and how many people want me to stick around. My prayer is that all of this love invested in my physically, emotionally and financially will not be in vain. So I continue to ask for those who can to continue to assist in any manner they can and see fit. I have to beat this cancer, it will not take me away from my loved ones. I am confident in God’s infinite goodness and mercy. Thank you for letting me share this with you. Be blessed, and most importantly, enjoy every minute of your life and never take anything for granted, even the ability to eat, celebrate every meal and be grateful.

It took three months for the doctors – dozens of them, to come up with a diagnosis. Three valuable months. I was put through a battery of tests, zapped with what I consider too many X-rays, CT Scans and a PET Scan, 3 major surgeries and having to make tough decisions that could mean life or death during this “incarceration”
So the next step was for the GI doctors to try to convince the surgeons to try again, which they blatantly refused. They said, we can’t touch her – too risky. So the GI doctors decided to do something called an endoscopic ultrasound to drill through the stomach and try to get a cross-sectional

I KNOW MY WIFE HAS A BOYFRIEND BUT IF SHE LEAVES ME SHE WOULD DIE –– MADU
40-year-old Maxwell Madu on Monday told the Agege Grade ‘A’ Customary Court that if his wife, Grace Oguche, 24, divorces him, she may lose her life instantly.
“She had gone to the village to find a way to break the oath [we had], but they told her it could not be broken except I was present. She is playing with her life.”
Madu said that his wife had taken the sacred oath of kolanut and water with him in her village. He explained that the oath demanded total loyalty to him...
Speaking further, Madu said, “I did not know that my wife was having an extra-marital affair, and she was already pregnant for her boyfriend, although she had a miscarriage. She cheated even though she had taken an oath that she would never leave me. She took the oath in the presence of her people because she had run away from me in the past.
Why is Grace desperate to dump her husband? It's about sex. She begged the court to dissolve her marriage to Madu because he could no longer perform in bed, saying he always fail in his bedroom duties.
She said Madu could not impregnate a woman because they had tried a couple of times but he failed!
“Ever since my husband lost his job, I take care of the responsibilitie
s in the home alone, and he does not appreciate my efforts. He also does not perform well in bed. I cannot continue in this marriage and I do not want to leave my son with him.”
Madu, however, admitted the bedroom problem. He said his wife is never satisfied whenever they had sex, adding that he had started taking medication to make him more effective in the bedroom.
“My son is the reason I did not send her packing when her boyfriend impregnated her. I do not want her to take the child because she would not take care of him. Even she warned me never to leave my child with her.”
OluFamous.Com gathered that the oath and death claims are giving the court problem as to how to judge the case, considering that the woman no longer love her husband. We'll keep you posted.

nysc. He is the one that's bn taking care of his own finances evn on campus. He is quite hardworking too and takes care of some of his siblings. I understand perfectly, and I try not to make demands at all. I'm quite comfortable.
The problem is, my bf is always edgy and touchy when he is broke. We don't stay around each other, but I try to spend a weekend hanging out with him evry month since we left schl. Even when we are just communicating on phone, I know when he is broke. Its always bad. Attimes he just ignores me or passes a comment that's really depressing. When he comes around, he always aplogizes and returns to his sweet and loving self. At those times when he is broke, he won't take anytin from me or allow me help him out. I try to send sms, and assure him that evrytin will be fine but he doesn't want me to evn interfere. I don't know what to do or how to act each time he is in that state. I go thru personal challenges, but I try to act normal and explain to him and he helps out when he can. He advices me a lot too.
Is something wrong, or am I just being paranoid? Or is it just the male ego thing?

HOW DO I STOP BEING UNFAITHFUL TO MY WIFE???
This is real and I hope the mature men reading your page can help me. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world. We dated for four years before I married her three years ago. We are blessed with two kids and hoping to have more in the future. My wife is simply the best. She's caring, honest, giving, very respectful and responsible and on top of all that she's drop dead gorgeous.
I wish I could show you her pictures to see but that would give me away. I couldn't have asked for a better woman. In fact my biggest prayer is when I return to this planet in another lifetime, I hope I marry the same woman. The only issue is that I am not faithful to her. I actually have never been faithful to any woman in my life but I feel this woman deserves that from me, I just don't know how to give her that. I've been with several women since we got together 7 years ago but lately I've been feeling she deserves more from me. I want to be faithful to her but I just don't know how to. I promised myself that 2013 was going to be different and I stayed faithful until last month. I've been with two other women since then, but God knows I want to stop. How do I break away from this behaviour? How do I stop myself from wanting and sleeping with other women? Serious advice only please.

WOMAN STABBED BOYFRIEND IN THE STOMACH AFTER HE FARTED IN HER FACE
A Florida woman told police she stabbed her boyfriend late last week because he “farted in her face.”
Deborah Ann Burns, 37, said she was watching television in her Florida home when her boyfriend, Willie Butler, walked by her and passed gas.
She then “confronted him about the fart and Willie became agitated, telling her to shutup,” the police report said.
It was then that Burns reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and chucked it at Butler, hitting the 53-year-old in the stomach, according to the police report.
Burns was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She is currently being held in jail on a $50,000 bond.

HOW I WAS RAPED AND DEFRAUDED BY FAKE PROPHET – FASHION DESIGNER
A 27- year-old man identified as Morufu Garba is currently cooling his heels in police net for defrauding and assaulting a 20 -year- old lady in Ebute-Metta area of Lagos, recently. The incident happened on the 12th of April, 2013 at about 10pm; when the victim identified as Aminat Ajala, a fashion designing apprentice at Ebute-Metta, returned from work; tired and hungry only to discover that there was no food in the house.
She opted to go get some toast bread at a shop not too far from her 91, Freeman street residence, where she and her siblings live with their maternal grand mother, after the untimely death of their biological mother.
Little did she know that Morufu Garba, a notorious fraudster was lurking somewhere in the neighbourhood, looking for an opportunity to play a fast one on unsuspecting ladies, of which she soon became a victim.
Aminat Ajala told Crime Alert that she had walked few metres from her residence when she noticed that someone tapped her shoulders from behind; she turned to see a young man, walking close to her. He politely requested to have some chat with her, a request she granted.
From that moment on, she alleged she was not in control of actions that ensued; as Morufu, told her he is a prophet with a special message for her. He further told her that it was revealed to him that she will be dead the very next day if certain sacrifice was not carried out; to this he demanded that she provide the money by all means to enable him cancel the death spell hanging around her.
Afraid and under the influence of some power beyond her control, Aminat thought of ways to generate the money, as she had nothing on herself. She then revealed to Morufu that she is just an apprentice and has no money to that effect, he asked her if she knew any other means to raise the money, perhaps through her parents, or siblings, but warned her not to disclose the information to any one else.
At that suggestion, she told him her grand Ma, who owns a buka on the street, has some money stuck in a refrigerator somewhere in her shop, that she also knows where the key is kept. He escorted her back to her residence to get the key, after she succeeded with that, she led him to the shop, and opened it.
They opened the door and went straight to the refrigerator, she tried opening it, but encountered some difficulties as the padlock used in locking it could not open. Morufu went out side, found an axe placed at a corner near the shop and used it to forcefully open the refrigerator and took over N80,000 kept t
here.
He then took her to meet another victim of his, a 22- year- old hair dressing apprentice identified as Ruka, who lives on the neighboring Glover street at Ebute-Metta, he claimed he was trying to also help perform some sacrifice to stop her mother from destroying her life. He had charged her N10,000; and she gave him N1,500, as what she had on her then.
They agreed he will get the money over the weekend. After that, he led her to the venue where he was to perform the sacrifice, some where in Makoko area of Lagos. On getting there, he took her to a one room apartment, spread a mat on the floor and asked her to take off her clothes and lie on the mat.
She obeyed, and all she can recall was that she was rapéd. When he was done with his “sacrifice”, he inserted some objects suspected to be charm into her private part, and abandoned her there. The next day, still under the influence of the charm, the lady managed to gather herself and left the place, but she had no clue where she was. She was later found wandering in Makoko area by one of her neighbours from Freeman street. “He noticed my unusual behavior and suspected that something must have gone wrong somewhere , he brought me home.
Crime Alert also gathered that members of the Ajala household were worried over the unusual disappearance of Aminat from home. It was gathered that after they waited for her to return home with the toast bread to no avail, her grand mother, popularly called Alhaja was worse hit, as she was said to be apprehensive of the thought of what might have happened to her grand-daughter,
not after their mother died at a premature age. She had organized a search party, and stayed awake till the next morning when Aminat was brought back by the neighbour.
Recovery from the ordeal
After Aminat was brought back home, the case was reported to the Oyingbo police station and she was taken to a clinic for medical check up, which confirmed that she was rapéd and bleeding. Aminat gave her statement after she recovered from the ordeal. But when she took the policemen to the house where she was rapéd, Morufu was no where to be found.
When inquiries were made, neighbours at the place said they don’t know any body with the identity they described.
To affect Morufu’s arrest, the Oyingbo police DPO invited Ruka, whom he was expecting N10,000 from, and tactically asked her to place a call to Garba on the number he gave her, to come get the money at Makoko junction. He swiftly came, and was arrested on the spot and thereafter charged to court. Information from the court disclosed that Morufu Garba has been charged for a similar case in the past.

SHE TOLD ME SHE'S A VIRGIN BUT SHE HAS BEEN SLEEPING WITH OUR NEIGHBOURS
I really need help to deal with this betrayal I'm facing. I am a 26-year-old man and my girlfriend is 23. We both attend OOU and we stay in an apartment off campus. She seemed to be a lovely girl. She cooked for me, took care of me and was always there for me. We have not been Being Intimate throughout our
relationship because she told me she was a virgin. Although I was tempted to go out and sleep with someone else, I resisted because I felt she was a good woman and does not deserve it. I have heard rumors previously about her having something to do with some guys in the area, I refused to believe because I simply trusted her. One day, she told me she was gong to Lagos to see her family. I saw her off to the bus stop and went for lectures. When I got back from classes. I needed to borrow some
books for upcoming exams. I went to a friend who then told me to go ask another classmate who lives close.
When I got there and knocked, the door opened and it was my girl standing before me. Tying a towel. I can't even describe the shock I felt at that point. I went back to my room in a daze and
just sat quietly. Eventually she came in and she started pleading. I remembered all the rumors I've heard and I made her tell me everything. It was then she told me the truth, about a few guys in the area she had
slept with. She claims she did not mean to lie to me. That she only wanted to impress me and that is why she lied that she was a virgin. She also says she didn't expect to fall in love with me and when she did, she did not know how to tell the truth. She told me she tried to stop being with the other guys
but she could not. Since that day, I have moved out of the apartment we shared. It's been about 2 months and I can't even get over the betrayal. I feel like I have been played for a fool. She has been begging me to forgive and take her back. I don't just want to let her go, I want to come up with a way that she will feel the pain she inflicted on me. I want revenge and I don't think I will be okay if I don't pay her back.
Please advise.

MY FIANCE WANTS HIS SON TO COME LIVE WITH US BUT I'M NOT READY FOR THAT
Dear Readers,
I am writing to you for a relationship advice. I am in a happy place in my relationship with my soul mate. We have been dating for years and have been living together for four years. He is in the midst of building a fabulous home and totally has me in his future plans, and I love it all.
The only problem is that, recently he told me he will be having his teenage son come living with us full time. The boy has a number of issues that they fail to address, like obesity, constant bed-wetting, lack of manners and poor hygiene. How do I put my feelings of happiness on the back burner or try to work out the new living arrangement with a boy of new problem issue?
I am hoping you can provide me with some help on this one.

I CHEATED ON MY BOYFRIEND WITH A MARRIED MAN - PLEASE ADVISE
Hello house,
I have been a consistent guest on this site and decided to hop on to the next level by becoming a member.. yayy!!!
Okay so, as regards the subject, let me start by giving a brief description of myself or the sort of person I used to be. I used to think of myself as really disciplined, principled and one who would never compromise her values or standards. Also, I used to be so quick to pass judgement. I never could understand why girls dated married men and deluded themselves into thinking they were in love! Not only did I find such circumstances disgustingly annoying but also judged the ladies as silly, silly, gullible, irresponsible, thoughtless, selfish and cruel!
I also had zero tolerance for people who cheat on their partners. I saw them as discontented and highly undisciplined individuals.
However, I have had reason to change my perspectives as a result of some recent happenings in my life!
I cheated on my partner with a married man! I am totally shocked at myself! The crazy part of this is that I think I fell in love with this married man! My boo and I are tight and have been together for well over 4years and I always thought I could never be attracted to any other man. I have tried to put an end to this craziness because it just ain't worth it but its so hard.
The purpose of this post is to:
1) Let you all who think so highly of yourself to be careful lest you fall. Never say never! Never think you are too disciplined or smart or principled to fall for certain temptations. Those who know me will never believe me if I tell them I fell for adultery (I can't even believe myself)
2)Seek counsel from people who have gone through this kind of stuff. You had an affair you knew you had to get out of but just couldn't, how did you deal with it.
What I have been doing lately is praying and deliberately not contacting this married dude. (I still find myself thinking about him)I also told my boo I needed a break!
Please let's discuss maturely as I believe there are so many people going through this kinda stuff but cant share with anyone because of the fear of condemnation and peoples hypocritical and self righteous attitude!

SHOCKING PHOTO: VICTIMS OF BUILDING COLLAPSE LOCKED IN FINAL EMBRACE
This is very sad. The Bangladesh garment factory tragedy is as a result of cheap labour with death toll rising to as high as 900.The most heartbreaking is the image of two victims locked in a final embrace that captures the moment the collapse took place. Both victims lie in the debris together – blood hardened on the man’s cheek like a permanent tear.
Shahidul Alam, founder of Pathshala, the South Asian Institute of Photography, said that the image is deeply disturbing but somehow “hauntingly beautiful.”

LESBIAN COUPLE TOLD TO DIVORCE OR SON WILL BE REMOVED FROM SCHOOL
A legally married South African couple were told by their son’s school that their relationship was problematic. Samantha and Kally Mabe’s son attends Secunda Highveld Christian School and when he told a teacher he had two mothers, the couple was summoned to a meeting with the principal and a pastor last month.
They were also accused of falsifying the information stating their sexual orientation in the school’s application letter.
“We never hid the fact that [our son] has two mothers and I filled in my details under the section in the form that asks for mother’s details and Sam filled in the area that said ‘Father/
Guardian’, but filled in her title as Mrs,” the boy’s biological mother Kally said.
“The pastor said if they had known we were a lesbian couple, they would never have allowed our son in the school. He said the school was a Christian private school that offered alternative education of Christian values for children of normal husbands and wives, and that we were trying to rewrite the school rules and compromising their values. He said I could either walk away from my lifestyle and have him stay at the school, or I should take the child out of the school, because he was worried that other children would make fun of him or isolate him.”
In response to the allegations the school said: “We are not going to speak to the press, if there is any information you will have to wait for a press release”.
Mpumalanga’s education department spokesman Jasper Zwane said that although the school was independent, they viewed such matters in a serious light and would investigate
