New Music: Dammy Krane – Lobatan + Gratitude

Dammy Krane – Lobatan + Gratitude

“The man of the moment and Hypertek’s very own superstar Dammy Krane makes a huge splash in time for the Summer with the release of three exciting new singles – “Lobatan”, “Gratitude” and the previously leaked “Xteristics”.
Produced by TinTin, “Lobatan” sees Dammy Krane excellently fusing his modern Fuji vibes and sensibility with what can only be described as a mixture of synth-heavy Dance instrumentals and a Dubstep musical milieu, to resounding results.
“Gratitude” on the other hand is 21st Century Fuji music from Dammy Krane with Spellz providing the befitting production with lush drum patterns, talking drums and synthy keyboard arrangements, over which Dammy Krane waxes lyrical in his trademark Fuji vocal cadence and commanding flow.
Dammy Krane and Spellz link up once again on the mid-tempo “Xteristics” which has already become a fan-favourite after leaking on the internet a few days ago and being supported by all the leading online tastemakers. For good reason too, Dammy Krane shows his smooth and sultry side to perfection on “Xteristics”.
Whatever your tastes and preferences are, Dammy Krane does more than satisfy them with these three new singles. Not only that, he shows his vast repertoire and versatility in delivering excellent hit singles over several musical styles. Whether it is “Lobatan” or “Gratitude” or “Xteristics”, you can expect for Dammy Krane to be a constant fixture on your favourite music websites and radio stations for the Summer and rest of 2013 – be prepared for the Dammy Krane Take Over!!!”

New Music: KaySwitch ft Omo Akin – Bust A Whine

KaySwitch ft Omo Akin – Bust A Whine Off the Scam 101 Mixtape comes the first single by DB Records act Kay Switch featuring Omo Akin. Perfect dancehall joint to get the ladies up on their feet. Kay Switch is clearly trying to diversify his sound so it can appeal to a wider international audience. Slot this into a Carribean music DJ’s playlist and it would fit right in.

New Music: KAS – That Waist

KAS – That Waist KAS came into the industry with his own sound/style and has basically trademarked it. However, he’s not been able to replicate the success of “Fimile”. Can his new single “That Waist” bring him back? Take a listen.

New Music: African China - Boko Haram + Gen Gen

African China - Boko Haram + Gen Gen
African China was one of the most popular acts in the business about a decade ago; back when Ajegunle produced some of the biggest hitmakers and Galala, Konto, Suo were in vogue. His career took a bad hit a few years ago when he openly dissed Timaya, but that’s another story.
Listen to China’s new singles “Boko Haram” and “Gen Gen”.

VIDEO: Jesse Jagz – Redemption

 VIDEO: Jesse Jagz – Redemption

Jesse Jagz  returns with a new single/video titled “Redemption”. Looks like dude is getting some inspiration from the likes of Vybez Kartel, Mavado and other top Jamaican acts in his quest to deliver conscious Dancehall music. It’s hard to tell what Jago will do next; he seems to have all the talents in him.
Inspite of the recent controversies surrounding Jesse Jagz, one thing’s certain… we’ll get a complete multi-genre album from the former Choc Boy.

VIDEO: Davido – One Of A Kind

Davido who dropped his One Of a Kind video moments ago, is definitely evolving music wise and attempting to expand his relevance into the entire African market. The sound and feel from One Of A Kind, will definitely permeate several countries in the African continent.

New Music: 9ice - Aye Oloba

9ice - Aye Oloba

9ice is currently working on a new album. While we await official singles, here’s “Aye Oloba”; a previously unreleased song from Adigun. I’d like to think this was recorded a long time ago ‘cos it’s my understanding that 9ice and Cheepho are no longer working together. Then again, I may be wrong.

New Music: Tiwa Savage – His Voice

Tiwa Savage – His Voice

With Tiwa Savage‘s debut album “Once Upon A Time” signed, sealed and ready to be delivered on the 14th of June, here’s one of the unreleased songs which “got into the wrong hands” about a year or 2 back. The majority of those leaked tracks won’t appear on her album. “His Voice” falls under that category. Take a listen.

New Music: Skales – Enter The Action

Skales – Enter The Action

Skales shows loads of growth and maturity on this new cut “Enter The Action”. I’ve been looking forward to hearing something like this from EME’s rap flagbearer. More of this and Skales will certainly become a household name.
