Egypt Top Female Quality Singers

Amal Maher, the Egyptian lead females singer that has the voice that reminds Arab listens of the golden age when Arab musicians wrote creative songs and invented their own musical styles. Amal has been known for covering old Arabic songs that Arabs love and still hold on to....she did well and entertained many fans of all generations. She has also ventured into singing using the Arabic Gulf dialect and poems. Amal has tried to make an album that would appeal to the younger generation, an album that would be considered a commercial success. Her album did well, but not nearly as the other lead female singers I will mention. Amal remains on the thrones of Tarab style music.

Amal Maher Mawazine 2010 Report

Shrien, perhaps Egypt best selling female artist, a lady that has been making great music since in 2002 when she debut in a mixed album with Tamer Hosny. Critics wrote her off when she got married and had a baby, but she was not done. Last year she had a smashing album that fans and critics raced to listen to. Shrein also has more than her fair share of concerts all over the Arab world. Not just that Shrein is also popular when she sings old songs as her voice can hit all the notes and she rarely has to take a breath. This artist was never the best looking female singer, but what she lacks in looks, she makes up for in hard work and amazing voice. She is the biggest commercial success among this list. I cannot wait to get her new album, and I hope she keeps on making good music. I do not care with her trouble with her former producer and other stars, she is a singer that delivers good songs...and that's all to know what I mean search for her delightful song "BitHinly"

Omnya Sliman, the newest star to join the list, Egypt's next big thing. When I first heard her songs, I was like who is that? Luckily for me, she has released her first album two weeks ago and I have been listening to it every chance I get. We do not know much about Omnya, other than her great voice and her grace. She has been asking to sing the opening song for a Gulf TV series and she delivered a good song in a hard Arab Dialect. The choice is hers now, does she want to be the lady that everybody admires and loves to hear her sing? or does she want to be the starlet that everybody races to buy her albums? Her production team seems to want her to do a bit of both as her album has a number of Tarab style songs and light energized songs. For now, I think Omnya's frist album is good, not great, I want better lyrics and fresh music. The Fresh part is not great, the good stuff is not that original...but this is a largely enjoyable album.
