Here's Why The 80s Were Golden,

Ahmed Mounib is long gone, but I keep running into his old songs and keep thinking to myself, this guy was a revolutionary in his art. He was in it for the art, not to get a contract or promote himself. He just loved the music of his people--southern Egypt, he took a very local music and did a beautiful thing with it.

Not one did Ahmed Mounib sang some of the best songs in Egypt, but he also wrote music that defined an era. Without His fine touches, Mohammad Mounir would not be who he is. Hamid Shaeri when he sings he sounds a lot like Ahmed. And so did dozens of Arab singers.

Enjoy this one about friendship and loyalty served for those seeking good times and wisdom.
