Sick Governor Chime Of Enugu Arrives Nigeria


After months of absence from his duty post as Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime returned to the country on Thursday morning as he was spotted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.

He had been reportedly admitted in a hospital in London for an ailment that has generated a lot of discussions within and outside Enugu State.


Governor Chime was recently visited by his colleagues, from Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Benue State, Rotimi Amaechi, Godswill Akpabio and Gabriel Suswam. Akpabio announced on their arrival that Chime should be in the country by Sunday.

Though the Governor is expected to resume duties immediately, he was at the Enugu Governor’s Lodge in Abuja at the time of filing this report. He was outside the country for about 140 days.
