Khaled M might as well be the only Libyan indie musician to come out against the dictator Qaddafi. Hie is US based and has been active in monitoring the situation at home Libya where his heart is. He is Chicago based Hip Hop/R&B artist.
Ever since February 18th and the artists has turned his Facebook page into a hub for all Libya updates and news. The artist got his provado from his father, Fathi who was part of the revolutionary movement in Libya. Now the the time is right and Khaled M cannot stand still, the people of Libya need his voice and he has been protesting in front of the White House for days now and has not changed his clothes as he is away form home worried about his native home.
We caught up with Khaled today and wanted to talk about his music, but the time was not right so instead we watched him in action protesting Qaddafi and his brutality. Khaled also sent a message to all activist out there to pitch in and get educated about Libya and be part of the change.
You would hardly meet a Libya singer yet alone a Libyan rapper who has a gift with words. But Khaled has not forgotten his roots and it shows in both his music and his style. Tog vie you a taste of Khaled M's style, here is Nostalgia, a song that we thought is sweet and powerful.
