Ramy Sabry: The First Sober Egyptian Song
Now that most of the parties have settled down and as more people to go back to work and life starts to get back to normal. Ramy Sabry, the charismatic young musician and singer has kept a distance from the revolution and the protesters. He was very cautious and no one picked a fight with him.
Ramy released a sober song about where things are going to in Egypt, what's now sort of question is imposed by the singer. He is proud to be an Egyptian, but he seems to be too worried about unfolding thing in Egypt. While I commend the singer for this mature and sober tone he uses. I think he is over stating his fears.
This is not the 60s and the 70s, the Arab people are much smarter. Just look at the youth and their commitment to non violence. they are very clear on respecting the right of others to their opinion, religion and property. This is a mature people who refuse to be intimidated and refuse of by the old line, that stability is more important than justice and freedom. So Ramy I love your music and your style, and you can relax, Egypt and its people will be fine.
