Pep Guardiola wants to take over at Chelsea

The Daily Mail reports that the former Fc Barcelona boss - who is currently enjoying a sabbatical year in New York with his family - has told his family and friends that he "sees his future at Stamford Bridge".

Guardiola, who won three league titles and two Champions League crowns with Barcelona, reportedly rejected the job at the end of last season after leaving the Catalan giants, and Roberto di Matteo was installed as permanent boss on a two-year deal.

But it seems the Italian may not get a chance to see out that contract as the most in-demand manager in the game hovers behind him; " Guardiola could have the pick of Europe's top clubs but has made it known to his close circle of advisers that Chelsea is his preferred choice," the paper reports.
