To the pastor, other distinguished pulpit guests, officers and members of The Old Black Church, sister and brothers in Christ Jesus, and invitation to meet in God's house is always a blessed time. We have come to praise God, to celebrate our community, and to celebrating being women. We, the women of The Old Black Church, stand together in the name of Christ Jesus and welcome you. We welcome you to our divine goodness in song, scripture, and the preached word. We arise, with God's help, as women of courage, ready to do God's will, to do justice, walk humbly, and befriend our neighbors. We unite as women to serve the community and ourselves. Through Christ's loving grace, we leap over oppression from the outside and the inside.
