‘WELCOME BACK’ PARTY FOR NIGERIAN IDOL STAR - NSIKAK UMOH

Nsikak Umoh a.k.a Bonic who made it to the top 30 at the on-going Nigerian Idol arrived Uyo this evening from Lagos via Akwa Ibom International Airport and will be hosted tomorrow, Friday for a ‘welcome back’ party.
The event tagged “Celebrating Nsikak Umoh” will hold at popular celebrity hang out, 2ndBaze from 7pm.
There will be a red-carpet which will be graced by celebrities and other guests. Nsikak is expected to perform while also using the opportunity to thank his fans for the support they showed him while he was at the reality TV show.

The show is packaged by top celebrity magazine – E101. Meanwhile, the magazine’s spokesman, Asteroid Bassey has opined on why the event is necessary.
“Nsikak Umoh did not win the top prize nor did he make it to the top 10 of the show but he has carved a niche for himself by making it to the last 30. Nsikak is a star in the making. Research has shown that top stars that make it in the music industry are not products of reality TV shows, only few are. Even in yankee, top music icons are not graduates of American Idol nor other music reality TV shows. 2face Idibia, D’banj, MI and plenty others are not products of reality TV shows. The show was determined by votes. It is rather unfortunate that he didn’t have enough votes to propel him to the zenith of the show but he has got great talent. We know he has a great future ahead of him that is why E101magazine is putting up this event to celebrate him”, said Asteroid who is the Associate Editor of the magazine.
It could be recalled that Nsikak was the only Akwa Ibom star who made it to the top 30 of the show but failed to make it to top 10 neither was he called back for the wild-card show by the judges which could have given him another opportunity to make it to the last ten.

NIGERIAN IDOL: ONE MORE OPPORTUNITY FOR NSIKAK UMOH

Nsikak Umoh
It is no longer news that Akwa Ibom born music star, Nsikak Umoh a.k.a Bonic couldn’t make it to the top 9 of the Nigerian Idol Season II. In the elimination show of the reality TV show which was screened on Friday, Nsikak’s votes were not enough to get him to the top 9.

In the show screened on AIT, Sanzye, Nsikak and Diwari were called up on the stage but Jeffery was asked who he could save, and he said all 3, but Sanzye and Nsikak got evicted while Diwari got saved
All hope is not lost as the U-tunnelz star still has one more chance to make it to the top 12.  According to a report on the Idols website, “Ill Rymz announced that there would be a wild card show where already evicted contestants will be called back on the show to be in contention for the title. This time around, 9 contestants will be called back; 2 will be saved by the judges and 1 will be saved by your votes. So many twists and turns the show has in store for us all! Don’t forget forget to tune in this Sunday to watch the “Wild Card” show and get to see if your favourite contestant (who was evicted) gets called back!”.
Will the judges route for Nsikak or will he garner enough votes to save him? Sunday evening will tell.

Exclusive: Nsikak Umoh ousted from Nigerian Idol

Nsikak Umoh
CONNOISSEUR has scooped that Akwa Ibom’s only representative at the on-going Nigerian Idol has been ousted from the music reality TV show. We learnt exclusively that the recording for the elimination of 20 contestants took place yesterday and Nsikak Umoh was unable to make it to the top 10 of the show which is in its season 2.

We learnt from the source that though he’s got a great talent to have made him one of the contestants jostling for the top prize, but his votes were not enough to catapult him to the top 10. The source said “Many candidates invested up to three hundred thousand Naira and more. They were making investment because it is 15 Million Naira that is up for grabs. It is a pity that Nsikak is ousted. He has carved a niche for himself by making it to the top 30.”
Those who made it to the top 10 will be announced tonight as the show will be screened tonight in some cable TV stations.
