Amr Diab's Much Hyped Song Is Here

So maybe he left Egypt during the protests, maybe he didn't. But the biggest and most respected pop singer in the Arab World is Amr Diab hands down. So he was missing in action during those 19 days, of course the State TV played his one year old song in which he praises Mubarak as one of the folks.

But rolling the beta sample of the song over his official fan club and promised to deliver the song today. And he did. Maybe it was much hype over this average song, it does not really move me or move the ones who heard it so far. Sure it came late, but it's always great ot hear what the big dog is up to.

Few Facebook members have started a group to get Amr Diab to sit at home and quit sining because he did not show up for them when they needed him like other celebrities who came to show their support. Maybe his silence was the smart thing to do, at least he did not ask the protesters to go home or insult them like dozen other stars (See here).

So maybe the iconic pop star loves Mubarak after all he was Egypt's number one singer for more than 25 years. He had his ups and his downs, but he won't take backseat to no body and he is still the biggest pop singer in the block, eat your hear Tamer Hosny. To the world, he is the most famous Arab singer, and you can find his songs in pretty much all languages.
