Katy Perry 'rejected $20million offer' to join the American Idol

It has been reported that Katy Perry rejected a staggering $20million offer to become one of the judges.

According to TMZ, producers on the show allegedly pursued the singer relentlessly in a bid to have her sign on for the show.

The website claims that the star was initially offered $18million and then upped their offer to $20million for a one year contract.

However it allegedly was not an issue of money for the 27-year-old, who once had a guest judging role on The X Factor UK, and she simply wasn’t interested in the job.
