Guys Are Whores, Says This Song

The world knows that we love Nawal Al Zoghbi, and we think the world of her latest 2011 album, she managed to make a stunning comeback that most people thought she won't be able to pull off. She survived an ugly divorce, made worse by the fact that her ex was also her manager and the protester of her brand.

She gave us a colorful album, read our review and listen to the album here One of the songs we loved was Alf O Meyah, translates to a 1100, which is the number of girls the guy whom Nawal happens to like keeps company with. I like the part where Nawal calling him out of maybe not knowing her name, maybe he is just confusing her with one of his old flames. That is fresh concept in Arabic music actually.

The lyrics are written by the song poet Faris Iskander, the song of Lebanon who single handedly is responsible for at least 40 percent of hit in the Arabic music. We love the words, and the storyline, the flow and the beat. However we think it goes overboard with drawing an image of a modern day Casanova. How can he keep track of all those? what would his Facebook page look like? what would his status be?

This is a good song to dance to, but take it for face value, cheeky pop song becasue no woman will stick around this dude if a fraction of the number of girlfriends was true. No one loves a man whore, certainly not anyone we have came across.
