Karim Mohsen, the young composer who had a great luck with Tamer Hosny, the Egyptian pop star released a debut album late in 2010 and it was good if not great for a pop album. When the composer decides to sing, you know the music will be great as they will bring all the creative juice to the front. But you can risk that the album sounds all the same, which was not a problem with this album.
Read the review and hear the tracks here But I want to talk about one track that I happened to like at first, the beat and the music made this song stand out. I am talking about Bithelely, "You Swear To Me", about a guy who likes a girl and he wants to taekt eh next step with her.
Sounds good and fine, but then he tries to hold her hand, she says, she is not that type, he tries to reach out to her she plays dumb and that she does not really know much about relationships. Then Karim find out from his friends that she is playing him and that girl is a player and had had half a dozen of relationships in the past. worse, they tell him that she will also will know other people after their relationship.
Here is why this song shocking to me. First, why would he go ask his freinds about this girl? Why cannot he just have a conversation with her? How did he meet her? Also is he a moron? Can he not tell or read people? Is he really that innocent? Again why does he put himself in a place to judge her and why is he not talking about himself and his past relationships? My two cents
