Egyptian pop and film star Tamer Hosny is no stranger to controversy, I do not want to go through a laundry list of all his misbehavior and questionable antics. As far as this post goes, he is three things. Number one he has millions of passionate fans, number two he is the hardest working star in this age. Number three he knows how to be on the news and use that.
Here is his timeless song about getting along with others who might not share the same religion with us. Of course he is talking about the Christian minority in Egypt where they often find themselves at odds with either the government, the media or now terrorists.
The lyrics of the song are simple and strike all the right chords with the common man in Egypt. It's a call for all people to rise above the challenges and get along, a prayer to God to bless all his people, the people who follow his religion. It pays homage to religion understanding (protect the Egyptian fabric), and to the Egyptian army forces that protect Egypt from outside threats. .
