Walid Sa'd Gives the Fallen a Voice
Walid Sa'd (Waleed Saad) is the go to guy if you want your music to sound special, the composer genius boy. He has worked with the best Arab singers and have turned average songs into hits with his music and his gift for making awesome music sound better.
Walid has also tried singing, it's only natural for a composer to try to sing after all they see the stars and hear their voices without all the fancy tone correction and million dollar sound affects. This time Wlid found his zen as he took to the airwaves with a song about the fallen written in the first person.
It's a message from the fallen who ask the people to preserve their message and not to let Egypt fall back. It tells the story as if the victims of the brutal tactics used by the Egyptian police, how the bullet raced through his heart. And now his picture is being carried by both Muslim and Christians, both men and women. It's a very touching massage.
I love the line "Until the point I got killed, I was dying slowly anyway" there are two kinds of death, the physical death that ended the victims life and the death of their dreams and dignity, that kills their spirit.
