Wizkid Is Still Signed To The E.M.E - Banky W

While partying with 2face in Dubai, Banky W in an exclusive interview had this to say:
"It's all bad belle people, they think there may be bad news and when you don't give them that news they start to create it because bad news sells more than good news.

First of all (go down low...lol), there was no twitter fight, people go online and use photoshop to create my profile and then they go and create Wizkid's profile and say he said this and that - even when it never happened. What happened is that we have been working on Wizzy's project to make it work internationally and when you are getting to that level, things change.

He has his own idea of what he wants to do and we are in 100% support of that and these were the things we dreamed of back in 2009 when I signed him....Wizkid is still signed to the E.M.E!!!

On Wizkid's starboy entertainment, he said "well you know that is something else he wants to do, he wants to start his record label just like I started mine then and see where I am today. You have a lot of people fabricating stuff and trying to make it feel like there is a battle and you know we don't believe in that...we are all mature and grown up people...he is absolutely and still part of the family..."

When asked about how it would work for him to have star boy entertainment and still be part of E.M.E, his reply; "I would give you a fantastic example, Kanye West has GOOD MUSIC and he is still with Rock Nation, ROCKAFELLA...I rest my case"

In an interview with City People, here is what he has to say;

CP: You look forward to having a baby soon?
Banky: I absolutely look forward to having babies and starting a family but obviously you know I want to get married first.
CP: Any plans to do that soon?
Banky: To get married soon, you have to have the right person who hopefully God created for you to spend the rest of your life with.
CP: So you don't have someone?
Banky: Not at the moment, No!
CP: Why?
Banky: I don't know

Wizkid Blasts An Inquiring Fan For Questioning His Birthday Wish To Banky W.

One would think that since the Wizkid-Banky W fallout, both parties are off each other's track, but it seems like the harmony the pair 'once' shared is invincible.

Wizkid sent former boss Banky W a birthday tweet yesterday, and an inquiring fan questioned the gesture and got a hard slam from Star Boy Entertainment Record owner, Wizkid.

P-Square, D'Banj, 2face Idibia and Banky W Named Among Ten Richest Artistes In Africa.

According to Africa Answers, 2face, Banky W, D’Banj and P-Square are among Africa’s Ten Wealthiest Artistes.
And in their list, they placed Banky W number 9, 2Face Idibia got their 7th position, D’Banj came 3rd while the duo were placed 2nd after Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour who topped the list.

Africa Answers also wrote;

P-Square makes more than $150,000 per show. Their Squareville which is located at Ikeja is worth $3m and as part of their brand support, they also have a 3 years deal with Globalcom; a Nigerian telecommunication company as brand ambassadors where they are paid a million dollars a year.

D banj, they said, made $1m dollars when he was paid by a T.V station to star on his own reality show called the Koko Mansion. He has a crib in Atlanta worth of $1.5m and reportedly charges on the upside of $100,000 per show currently.

2face has a vast investment in real estate across Nigeria, earns around $50k to $80k per show and owns a night club in Nigeria just to name a few.

For Banky W, they wrote he has been a brand ambassador for Etisalat mobile in Nigeria and is currently the face for Samsung products in the West African nation. Out of his generous heart, Banky W has started off Mr Capable foundation; an education charity organization with the aim to aid in the education of children from poor families.

I Get Tired Of Hearing How Big My Head Is – Banky W

Banky W had some free time on Sunday, away from home and work, and decided to spend it with fans on Twitter.

He got cozy with fans answering all questions and replying to all mentions as much as he could; mostly lauding him for a great work done on the still-selling R&BW album.

What caught my eye however was the part where a fan asked Banky W; “Do you ever get tired of hearing how handsome you are?”

I’m sure ‘@TheNubianQween was disappointed at Banky’s response. She’d be expecting something sweet, or just a ‘thank you’, but Banky W replied with; “I get tired of hearing how big my head is.”

I’ve heard folks say in the past that Banky wears a cap always because he’s got a big head. Lol

Wizkid To Return To Former Music Label, EME.

According to a reliable source, Wizkid will soon be returning to his former music label, EME Music Group, if everything goes according to plan. It was also revealed that Wizkid and EME bosses have been going back and forth for the last couple of weeks through their lawyers trying to agree on new terms of them working together again.

"Wizkid leaving EME was just his way of pushing the bosses at the label to take him seriously and increase his earning percentage. When he joined EME he wasn't a star but then he became a mega star and was making a lot of money for the label and they still didn't increase his earning percentage so he took a walk. Now they are working on a new contract that will favour Wizkid." The source said

It looks like top music label, Chocolate City which is now chaired by Hakeem Bello Osagie has signed their first female act. The label houses Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Brymo and MI.

Banky W postpones album release

R&B /pop singer Banky W has postponed the release of his forthcoming  album R&BW which was  scheduled for release on feb 14,2011. 

   The singer and boss of Empire mate entertainment announced the postponement on twitter .

He tweeted: In other news, R&BW won't be coming out on Feb 14th .I've suspended promoting/puting out new music until after things in 9ja settle down.

He continued that he will drop singles and a video after things start to look better

Two singles Lowkey and setting P have already been released off the album .
   Banky w has  three albums  to his credit which are Back in the building, Mr Capable and The W experience.
