Residents of Gusau metropolis in Zamfara State were shocked recently after the swollen corpse of one of their neighbours and two of her daughters were found dumped inside a nearby dam in the area. More shocking was the suspicion that mother and daughters were killed by their own blood, 25-year-old Kamal Yusuf Aliyu. The suspect who is presently in police net has reportedly given reasons why he killed his mother and younger sisters.
Narrating the circumstances that led to the ugly incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in Zamfara State, DSP Lawal Abdullahi said that the command started by investigating a case of criminal conspiracy, armed robbery and culpable homicide initially reported by a good Samaritan as a case of sudden and unnatural death (SUD).
According to him, “The good Samaritan, on May 29, 2013 had reported to the Police that a female corpse was sighted floating in the water Board Dam in Gusau metropolis, Zamfara State. When the corpse was removed to Federal Medical Center, Gusau for postmortem examination, deep cuts and injuries were discovered all over the body of the corpse. A case of Culpable Homicide was being established.
In the afternoon of May 30 2013, relations of the deceased came to Gusau Central Police Station and reported a case of missing person. Their relation, Hajiya Hafsat, was not seen for the past 48 hours, and that her mobile phone was not going through. They were taken to the Public Mortuary where they identified the said corpse as their missing sister.
A Police team led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) went to the house of the deceased but met it under lock and key. It was forced open and on entry, blood stains were seen all over the room. Her clothes, money and valuables were ransacked by the perpetrators.
The deceased’s car was not seen in the house, but her son’s car was seen inside the compound with blood stains. The car booth was searched and pillow cases, bed sheets soaked with blood were recovered. The discovery reaffirmed Police’s suspicion on a case of culpable homicide coupled with the testimony of the deceased relations that her son who is now the prime suspect has been threatening to kill her if she fails to give him money.
The relations also reported to the Police that, two of the deceased little daughters aged between 11 and 9 years, living together in the same house, were equally not seen. The Police now suspected that the assailants may have killed the two girls and dumped their bodies in the water where the mother’s body was recovered. The Police then went to the river side where the first corpse was recovered. Fortunately, the two corpses were recovered, one with cuts all over her body while the other was slaughtered,”
Police also informed Crime Guard that the prime suspect, Kamal Yusuf Aliyu (25), who is the deceased biological son, has been out of school because of his bad habit and following Police investigation, the prime suspect was arrested in Kaduna with his mother’s (deceased) car.
Some valuables and cash belonging to the deceased were also recovered. It was learnt that Kamal has confessed to the Police and has mentioned the names of his accomplices as Armaya’u Yusuf, 24, and Caleb Humphrey, 25. Both are in police custody.
The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Akilu Usman Gwary has assured members of the public that no stone would be left unturned to fish out the remaining culprits that were at large soonest. “The suspect’s action is unfortunate and highly barbaric and definitely they will face the full wrath of the law,” the CP said.

VILLAGERS LYNCH RAPIST & BURY HIM BESIDE HIS VICTIM
Villagers in Bolivia’s southern highlands buried a man alive in the grave of the woman he is suspected of having molested and murdered, an official said Thursday.
Police had identified 17-year-old Santos Ramos as the possible culprit in the attack on 35-year-old Leandra Arias Janco Sunday in a Quechua community near the municipality of Colquechaca, said Jose Luis Barrios, the chief prosecutor in Potosi province where the community is located.
Enraged, more than 200 community members seized Ramos and buried him alive alongside his alleged victim Wednesday night, according to Barrios. He said residents on Thursday blocked the road to the community, preventing police and prosecutors from reaching it.
A local reporter for an indigenous radio station, who would only speak on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals, told The AP that Ramos was tied up at the woman’s funeral. Mourners threw him into the open grave, placed the woman’s coffin in it and filled the grave with earth.
Colquechaca is a town of 5,000 inhabitants located 207 miles (333 kilometers) southeast of Bolivia’s capital, La Paz.
Also in Potosi, residents of the Quechua indigenous community of Tres Cruces on Wednesday stoned to death a suspected thief and burned his accomplice alive, Barrios said. The official said the two had earlier robbed a car and killed its driver.
Lynchings sometimes occur in rural and poor parts of Bolivia where police and other authorities are scarce.

THIS LADY WAS 'KILLED' BY HER LOVER WHOM SHE LIVED WITH FOR 6 YEARS; A BROTHER TO EX-MINISTER
***THIS LADY WAS 'KILLED' BY HER LOVER WHOM SHE LIVED WITH FOR 6 YEARS; A BROTHER TO EX-MINISTER***
A relation of a former Minister of Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho (retd.), has been accused of killing his live-in lover in Lagos. The suspect, George Iheanacho, allegedly killed his 32-year-old partner, Regina James, the mother of his three children – two boys and a girl.
“George, sensing that Regina had died, wanted to escape, but he was apprehended,” said a source.
He allegedly killed Regina in their residence at 3, Calvary Street, Iyana Isasi, Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
According to Punch, the accused, who worked in the ex-minister’s company, Genesis Worldwide Shipping Company, Apapa, on the fateful day, accused Regina, who had lived with him for 6 years, of unfaithfulness.
It was further learnt that subsequent argument over the accusation led to the suspect beating up Regina and in the process, she fell into a coma.
A source, who craved anonymity, said before Regina, believed to be from Nsit Ibom LGA of Akwa Ibom State, could be rushed to the hospital, she had given up the ghost.
National President, Akwa Cross Indigenes Association, Chief Etubom Samson, said his association received a distress call from a concerned citizen that “our sister, Regina, has been killed by her lover.”
Chief Samson, who said the deceased was their daughter and member of the association, said, “George and Regina have been living together for six years. Since that time, he (George) has not deemed it necessary to go for their traditional marriage. The love has produced three children; two boys and a girl.
“We have always heard complaints of the two fighting. We did not know it would result into our sister’s death.”
Chief Samson said Regina's remains would not be buried until the deceased had been properly married.
Meanwhile, counsel for ACIA, Onwu Ekowa, Udo and Co., has written a petition to the police, calling for the prosecution of the accused immediately.
In a letter signed by the Managing Partner of the law chamber, Mr. Silas Udoh, the group also demanded N50m compensation for the family:
“We hereby demand the immediate prosecution of the accused in court, and in addition to pay compensation to the family within 24 hours of the receipt of the letter, or else we shall petition the National Human Rights Commission and address a press conference on the issue.”
The Nigeria police said the guy will be tried for murder as soon as the autopsy report is out.

19 YEAR OLD BOY ARRESTED FOR RAPING HIS MOTHER
A teen raped his mother for revenge, according to police.
Police said a Marshall County, Alabama teen raped his mother for revenge after an altercation with his brother.
Police said 19-year-old Gary Helms, Jr., raped his 45-year-old mother at the trailer park in Willow Terrace Doyle Drive in Albertville. It is a twisted crime that police said Helms admits.
"From what I understand the rape stemmed from an argument between him and his brother. And apparently they were arguing over a girlfriend. And the rape was some sort of revenge against his brother," Sgt. Jamie Smith of the Albertville Police Department said. It was an unusual retaliation on an innocent victim.
Authorities said Helms' mother was apparently passed out drunk on the couch when the rape started. "During the attack she has come to recognize the assailant was her son," Smith said. That's when, according to the police report, the mother "tried to escape, but she was held down until the act was completed." "It's totally sick is what it is," Smith said.
Helms was arrested and charged with the 1st degree rape of his own mother. Smith says it's hard to wrap the mind around this. "Shocked, very shocked would be a better way to describe it. That someone would do something of this nature. It's a shock to the conscience of the general public," Smith said.
Helms is being held in the Marshall County Jail on bail of $100,000.

SEE THE WOMAN WHO CLAIMS SHE IS TOO PRETTY TO WORK
Beauty is usually seen as a blessing. But for some, it would seem, it can be a curse.According
to The Daily Mail in the U.K., who spoke at length to Ms. Fernee just last week; to keep her going in that flat, pay her bills and supply her with gym membership and designer clothes, her parents give her a minimum of £4,520 monthly (that's about 1,104,000 Naira).
The 33-year-old science graduate says her slim figure and pretty face attracted unwanted attention from her male colleagues.
Laura Fernee says her good looks are so powerful they are ruining her life – and have forced her to quit her job.
She has a science degree and worked in research for 3 years but had to quit because of her looks. It's not just men that prevent her from working, either, she says she is so fetching other women assume she is stupid and will not give to her credit for her capabilities. Men are the bigger problem though, and even "in a laboratory in scrubs with no make-up" she says men are drawn to her "natural attractiveness. "
"I’m not lazy and I’m no bimbo,:" she told the Daily Mail. "The truth is my good looks have caused massive problems for me when it comes to employment, so I’ve made the decision that employment just isn’t for me at the moment. It’s not my fault. I can’t help the way I look."
This reporter might like to have the male equivalent of looks that are on a par with Furnee's, but there is something else of hers that I should prefer to have - her parents.

2 STUDENT REPORTEDLY SHOT DEAD DURING OOU STUDENTS PROTEST
Violence had rocked the Ago Iwoye campus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University on Monday. As early as 7.30 am, students had stormed the gates of the institution which they succeeded in locking. Only to reportedly have two students of the university shot dead with several others wounded following an ongoing protest about against some of the “anti-students policy” of the school’s management.
According to StreetJournal, some of the students revealed that one of the new policies stipulates that any student who does not pay school fees on time would not be allowed into the exam hall, which could mean an extra year for some.
Policemen were however on the scene not long after and arrests were reportedly made. Students claimed policemen opened fire on them and in minutes, the story was trending on Twitter, with the pictures above.
However, the police have denied that they shot students dead.
Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesman of the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force. Adejobi said:
They went violent this morning and some of our men were deployed to disperse them. The operation was led by a Deputy Commissioner and no live bullet was used so the issue of killing does not arise at all.”
They are just using the issue of killing to seek public sympathy. We don’t kill. That was the same thing they said when there was a crisis in Tai Solarin University of Education in Omu Ijebu, they said policemen killed four students. No one saw the bodies. That is what they always say to win public sympathy”.
When he was told by Street Journal’s reporter that pictures of one of those feared dead in the protest were already on the internet, Adejobi who disclosed that he had seen the picture said “we know the way students try to get sympathy. Let them produce the corpse in the picture. They should bring the corpse to the police.”

SEE HOW LONG LADIES SHOULD WAIT BEFORE GETTING PREGNANT
Ladies shouldn't just be getting pregnant because their men are active in the bedroom:
Having children is a thing of joy for most families, such that those who are not able to achieve pregnancy immediately after marriage consider it a cause to worry about.
However, while some people do everything to achieve conception, others are able to get pregnant anytime they desire. But some drive this luck too far by getting pregnant and giving birth any how...
The question is, how soon should you return to the labour room after the birth of a child?
A study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology says women should be encouraged to wait 12 months after giving birth before conceiving another baby. The researchers argue that intervals of less than six months from delivery to conception of the next baby increase the risk of preterm birth (less than 35 weeks) by 41 per cent.
They say further that intervals of six to 12 months increase preterm birth risk by 14 per cent; while intervals of 12 to 18 months carry no significant increased risk of preterm birth.
Physicians say while there are no specific guidelines stipulating when a woman should conceive after the last delivery, they warn that pregnancy puts so much strain on the woman’s body because of the need to support the baby in the womb and after delivery.
Obstetrician/
Gynaecologist, Dr. Mary Ogidan, says one of the reasons mothers are advised to wait one year before conceiving again is because they may be anaemic as a result of the iron transferred to the baby and placenta during pregnancy, as well as the blood loss that usually attends childbirth.
Women who deliver via Caesarian Section even have more reasons to delay the next pregnancy, Ogidan says. “Women who deliver via a C-Section lose twice as much blood — about two pints on average — as women who deliver vaginally. They must save themselves from possible complications that may result when pregnancies are too close,” she warns.
Such complications include ruptured uterus or a premature or low-birth weight baby, experts say.
When confronted with the fact that many women start raising family late and they may not have the luxury of time, the gynaecologist says for women in their 30s who may be engaged in the race against time, they may start trying to conceive nine months after the first baby, even if they had a C-Section. She says such women must take good care of their health by eating balanced diet and doing everything to stay in top shape, health-wise.
She notes, “It’s not uncommon for women over 35 to have trouble getting pregnant with the second baby, and the risk of having difficulty conceiving increases with age. The best time to get pregnant, however, differs from woman to woman; so, talk to your doctor about your specific circumstances.”
Asked when a woman should commence contraceptive use after delivery, experts have this to say, “Women who have just given birth should wait three weeks before using birth control that contains both oestrogen and progestin, such as the pill, the patch, and vaginal ring. Using these methods in the early weeks after giving birth increases the risk of dangerous blood clots.”
Ogidan says those who delivered via a C-Section or those at risk of blood clots should wait for six weeks after delivery before using any birth control with both oestrogen and progestin.
Does birth control have any advantage? Researchers at Guttmacher Institute, a family planning organisation that advances reproductive health globally, say spacing children has positive impacts on women’s education and participation in the workforce, as well as on subsequent outcomes related to income, family stability, mental health and happiness, and the well-being of their children.
Beyond this, experts say family planning helps you in getting rid of monthly pains associated with your period. The journal, Human Reproduction, notes that cramps are caused by prostaglandins, a chemical that triggers muscle contractions. “When you get your period, your body speeds up prostaglandin production to help shed the uterine lining. Going on oral contraceptives reduces the amount of prostaglandins your body pumps out, so you experience less discomfort,” the researchers say.
Ogidan notes that using combination contraception lowers a woman’s levels of testosterone, which all women make in small amounts. She says this improves the texture of the skin, making it smooth, instead of breaking out in acne or growing excess body hair.
Scientists also say using hormonal birth control makes monthly periods shorter and lighter, so you lose less blood, reducing the risk of anaemia, and leaving you strong, physically.
Ogidan also says women who use birth control pills have reduced cases of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease — a serious infection of the upper reproductive tract which, if left untreated, can compromise a woman’s fertility.
Experts say the progestin in hormonal birth control makes cervical mucus thicker, while research suggests that this forms a roadblock that makes it harder for PID-causing microbes such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea to penetrate the user’s cervix.
In all, experts warn that you should consult your physician before embarking on using birth control pills, as some of them could be dangerous to health.

NIGERIAN MILITARY ARRESTS 120 SUSPECTED INSURGENTS DURING BURIAL OF BOKO HARAM COMMANDER
The military said it is winning the war against the insurgents.
The Defence Headquarters said in Abuja on Monday that 120 suspected terrorists were arrested in Maiduguri during the burial of one of their commanders on Sunday.
In a statement, the Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Chris Olukolade, said the commander died in an encounter with Special Forces the previous day.
The statement said the insurgents, who were arrested by the Joint Task Force, had been detained and were being interrogated. It said the Special Forces have now secured New Marte, Hausari, Krenoa, Wulgo and ChikunNgulalo after destroying all the terrorists’ camps in Borno.
“The troops are already interacting with locals and citizens, assuring them of their safety and freedom from the activities of insurgents.
“Terrorists fleeing towards Chad and Niger Republic are being contained as they have had encounter with Multi-National Joint Task Force in various locations towards the border, ” it said.
The statement said advancing troops also observed a few shallow graves believed to be those of hurriedly buried members of the terrorist group.
It said the Defence Headquarters had observed the use of photographs purportedly taken in the areas covered by the operations and wished to say that the photographs were questionable.
It said that the photographs did not reflect any related reality of the social or geographical environment.
“This also makes the story they claim to depict of Nigerians fleeing to Niger Republic and other countries doubtful.
“The media is advised to always strive to associate stories with accurate pictures in order to avoid misleading the public,” the statement said.
President Goodluck Jonathan declared a State of Emergency in Borno, Yobe, and Nasarawa on Tuesday last week, significantly increasing military presence in the affected states.

READ THIS, AND IT WILL CHANGE YOUR VIEW OF LIFE???
My Story - Folasayo Frances
This is the story of Folasayo Frances, a Visual Artist, Performance Poet, Writer, Public Speaker, Actor, filmmaker - Folasayo performs solo with a live band or recorded music blending vintage Afro-folksy and Afrojazz... She battled with an aggressive form of stomach cancer which is found only in Africans and Asians and after a two year struggle, she died on saturday. Take your time and read her story, It will raise your value of life in everything you do. Her story below:
Like many people I know, I was on the treadmill of life minding my own business, making plans, getting the most out of my life when suddenly I was stopped in my tracks and told to take on a role that not only seems surreal, but seems like I was asked to play a role in someone else’s life, that of a cancer patient.
On Nov 30th 2011, I was admitted to the hospital from the ER when I went in for severe abdominal pain after eating some rice. Prior to this, I had noticed my inability to eat a full meal – one mouthful after my brain tells me I’m full resulted in a sharp pain in the left side of my abdomen. I thought this a bit unusual since I know the stomach is supposed to expand to take in more than the brain agrees with when we insist on ignoring the gauge that says we are satiated. While I did not consciously ignore this, I thought it might be something as benign as an engorged liver since I was on an Iron rich diet at the time due to being anemic. So I went on a fast to detoxify my system and it seemed to work until I decided to break my fast on that November night.
At Memorial Hermann Hospital, I was subjected to a battery of tests and the first thought that came to the attending physician was lymphoma but this was pending a confirmatory pathology report . He said It was no big deal and I would be OK after a few rounds of Chemotherapy. The lab report came back negative - no malignancy. It was all a terrible mistake.
The diagnosis came back as Chemical Gastritis. 6 days later, I was discharged on a liquid diet, was prescribed some meds and told to gradually re-introduce solid foods.
With no improvement and declining ability to eat, I was growing weaker by the day. By January, I was not even able to ingest 1 oz. of liquid at a time, not even water. This was quite terrifying but I kept hoping things would get better. I was planning shows for my new musical band for Feb 1st, going about as if all was well with me. By now I had lost a considerable amount of weight and while some looked at me and thought how lucky I was to be so svelte, only one friend saw through this and thought something was seriously wrong with this picture. To cut a log story short, she came over to my apt. on Jan 30th to check in on me, I was too weak to even get to the door to let her in, and she took one look at me and called 911. That call literarily saved my life. At the ER, they could not find a vein in me for hours to put in an IV line, and when they eventually got my lab results out, they said I was so severely dehydrated and malnourished I could easily have slipped away and died within a week!. The starvation mode may have also been why I didn’t realize how bad things were, it had affected me mentally as I was so disillusioned about my reality. This ER visit resulted in my hospitalization
which lasted about 3 months. This thus began my journey into uncertain territory.
It took three months for the doctors – dozens of them, to come up with a diagnosis. Three valuable months. I was put through a battery of tests, zapped with what I consider too many X-rays, CT Scans and a PET Scan, 3 major surgeries and having to make tough decisions that could mean life or death during this “incarceration” at the hospital. All the tests came back inconclusive and definitely no malignancy. During one of my later endoscopies what was growing in my stomach was so rapid and had resulted in complete stricture of my duodenal ducts – which is where the liver and pancreas dumps its secretions. So I developed a severe case of jaundice and had to be fitted with a tube that drains my liver into an external bag I wear around my thigh. I still have to wear this bag. The other goal for the doctors was to try to keep me alive on elemental nutrition via TPN through a piccline that went from under my arms into an artery that feeds directly to my heart. The thought was scary, and there was a very high risk for life threatening infections. But at this point, this was the only choice available. I was on TPN - A $2000 diet a day – for 2 months. At my lowest I weighed 94lbs!. I am gradually regaining the weight now and I am 102lbs. Without adequate weight gain I could not have surgery. Eventually, they felt I was strong enough to have some exploratory surgery that will hopefully shed more light on this “mystery” illness. By this time I had become a “VIP” patient at the hospital, with every specialty coming to prod and probe and using this as a potential teachable moment for their students. My case was presented at conferences and meetings in the hope of finding some doctor who may have had a patient present with similar symptoms. 7 pathologists up to this point had looked at the slides from various endoscopic samples to no avail. The first exploratory surgery was for 9 hours, this also included putting in a feeding tube through the upper part of my small intestine bypassing my stomach, as both my upper GI and lower GI were no longer connected. This is how I would be feed from now and am still being fed. Hopefully after my treatment is over I would not need this – keeping my fingers crossed as this is no way to exist. The surgeon I was informed later backed out of making an incision because my stomach was too fibrous and thus too dangerous to open up since he wasn’t sure how he would close it back up. So 9 hours, no result. Other things were done during this procedure that was as a secondary result of all that was going on in my stomach affecting other parts of my internal organs.
So the next step was for the GI doctors to try to convince the surgeons to try again, which they blatantly refused. They said, we can’t touch her – too risky. So the GI doctors decided to do something called an endoscopic ultrasound to drill through the stomach and try to get a cross-sectional / column sample. This was done on my birthday!. What a way to spend my birthday. My brother Wale had flown in from Seattle to spend my birthday with me, but I was quite groggy from the anesthesia. We sill somehow managed to make it a good visit.
Pathology report came back again no malignancy, inconclusive. The doctors were now really backed against the wall. So once again, the GI doctors had to go back to meet with the 3 major surgeons to try to plead on my behalf as I was running out of options. They feel that whatever is going on is serious and urgent as it was growing so rapidly, I had no lumen in my stomach and it had become one solid mass. However, they cannot treat a situation they don’t have a diagnosis for. One of the surgeons finally agreed to do a full thickness biopsy but had a long session with me where he had to explain in full details all that could go wrong. I asked him a ton of questions about what he would do differently this time to minimize my risk. His back up plan is to plug my stomach with a G-tube if he can’t suture it back together. Fully understanding all that is involved, I signed the consent form. I was given just a few hours to make all of these important decisions. This was also just 4 days after my last surgery. I had barely recovered. Surgery went well, sample was sent to the lab while I was still under anesthesia to make sure the Pathologist has all he needed because the surgeon swore there was no way he would operate on me again. Pathologist was happy with the sample and I was stitched back up successfully with no need to plug the hole with a G-tube.
It took more than a week for the result to get back. Two solemn doctors walked into my room and I just knew the news was no good. So I told them, please level with me. “You have stomach cancer, and it is a pretty aggressive form of cancer” –this I later found out to be true: The type of cancer I was Signet Ring Cell Adeno -Carcinoma. This from of cancer I have, they say only occurs in Africans and Asians. Not at all common in the West. I was stoic, didn’t flinch, but had so many questions. Why did it take so long to come up with this diagnosis, what had all the previous test specific for cancer missed this? Why didn’t some of the doctors clue in on the symptoms I was presenting?. Why why why? But never once did I ask why me?. My oncologist later said, this had nothing to do with my lifestyle, as anyone who knows me know I ate healthy, mostly organic foods, I don’t even use a microwave at home to heat up my food!. He says it possibly could have been a virus that attacked me while I was growing up in Nigeria and possibly denatured some cells and caused a mutation - which then laid dormant for many years until something triggered them off to act “rebellious”. So no, it was no fault of mine I developed cancer, just luck of the draw – could have been anyone, so why not me? Right…perhaps it chose me because I have a fighting spirit and have a lot to live for, so for sure I’m not going anywhere till my God-given days are up…which I suspect won’t be for a very long time as I have many many projects and dreams to fulfill. This is a battle of my life for my life, and as much as one is never prepared for this type of news or circumstances, when the news hits you, you muster all you can within you to make you battle ready. My first response to the doctors who broke the news was Ok, so it is Cancer, how do we fight this? In a sense it was a relieve knowing what we are now faced with, as opposed to months of uncertainty. They were surprised I wasn’t hysterical or crying, the tears came later in privacy, but my first reaction was that of, after everything my body had been subjected to in the 3 months leading up to my diagnosis – all the pain, anxiety, unpleasant tests etc, many times, not even feeling I inhabit my own body, what could be worse. Please bring it on! Let’s just get rid of the disease.
During my first visit with the Oncologist, My brother Wale, came with me. He took one look at me sprawled on the examination table, unable to lift my head up – he said “ I can’t give you Chemo, you are too sick, you won’t survive the treatment”. Here I was, hoping that finally, the drug that could possibly save my life will be administered, and I was being told I could not have it. Just the knowledge that this monster inside of me keeps growing was very concerning, but the Doctor of course was right. So I was again admitted to the hospital for 11 days to get me well enough for my first Chemotherapy treatment.
By the second visit to my oncologist, I was an outpatient, still extremely weak and in a wheelchair, I visited with my dad – this day was the one day I got a bit depressed. The Doctor In front of my 74 year old father plainly said, with very little emotion that he thinks this disease will eventually take my life, but they will do the best to extend it. My cancer is Stage 4. He left the room shortly after that to consult with another Physician. The silence in the room was palpable, the thoughts swirling in my head and my dad’s head hung over us like a dark cloud preceding a terrible storm. I could see my dad face totally drained of blood, and the emotions on his face was too painful to watch. Finally, he broke the silence “ Folasayo, you will live, you will not die, ignore what the doctor just said”. That is my dad, always so positive even when facing the worst news. When the doctor came back in I said in a voice I did not recognize as my own “ Doctor M. what you just told me about my prognosis, while I respect your medical expertise, that is your own opinion, do your part and I’ll do mine, I will not die, you’ll see”. He said, “I just don’t want you to be too hopeful’. By the next day, I was back to my old self , somehow, I just never felt that death was in the cards for me. I am a divinely inspired Artist , and I have so many projects in the works, God and I are not finished yet.
Now that I’m seeing an oncologist, I have a clearer picture of my treatment plan. I had switched hospitals to a county hospital, for many reasons, mostly financial, but also because their Oncologists are all affiliated with one of the best cancer treatment centers in America – MD Anderson. The first phase of my treatment is 8 rounds of Chemo, evaluation, possibly surgery to remove my entire stomach, and perhaps more Chemo. It’s a long journey I’m on, if I say I’m not scared, I would be lying, but my faith sees me through the uncertainty of what life will be post my treatment – this is my main concern. I don’t know anyone without a stomach personally, but I’ve heard of people who have heard of others. I Know it will dramatically change my life, It would not be the end of the world or the worst thing that could happen to a human being - but my prayer too is for a miracle – for a cure. God works wonders, I am hopeful. Chemotherapy is tough, my own experience with it is unique to me, as is every other Chemo patient, but the first Chemo I had, my body was like “what the heck”!!. That’s all I’m going to say. I just had Chemo # 6 and the effects are a lot easier to tolerate. They give me the maximum dose you can safely give a human being every two weeks, and so far so good, I have only had to be hospitalized once for a Chemo-related event with dangerously low white blood count, and that has been addressed with an injection that costs $6000 a dose every time I get my Chemo. My body has become a very expensive commodity to maintain and keep alive…it’s surreal, but I’m truly grateful to be alive!.
People ask me, how do you deal with the pain and all? Honestly, I am tired of being sick at this point, but I have been able to revive my strength by asking God who has an infinite source of energy to infuse me with strength, and that has never failed. I also have a habit of visualizing myself laying helpless at the foot of the cross and imagine myself being infused with energy by the drops of blood from the wounds of Christ. My other ammo is to unite my pain with the suffering of Christ from the Garden of Gethsemane all the way to the cross and knowing that my Cross is light compared with
I could wallow in self pity and wish someone to wake me up from this dream, but it would serve me better acknowledging that this indeed now is my reality. Accept it, and make the most of what I term my second life. I see this in the light of the plight of Job in the Bible – My life will be abundantly richer when this is all over. This is what I believe. what He had to endure, yet He helps me to bear the burden. These visuals and affirmations in truth have been extremely helpful seeing me through.
I have had so much love, compassion and encouragement come my way from some of the most unexpected quarters, even people I have been previously estranged from. In this period, I lost my beloved dog Bibi, and my other dog is being fostered by someone I had never even considered a friend. This means a lot. I have had so many people reach out to me, I am so overwhelmed with how much I feel loved and how many people want me to stick around. My prayer is that all of this love invested in my physically, emotionally and financially will not be in vain. So I continue to ask for those who can to continue to assist in any manner they can and see fit. I have to beat this cancer, it will not take me away from my loved ones. I am confident in God’s infinite goodness and mercy. Thank you for letting me share this with you. Be blessed, and most importantly, enjoy every minute of your life and never take anything for granted, even the ability to eat, celebrate every meal and be grateful.

18FT SNAKE KILLED IN FLORIDA
A Miami man briefly wrestled with and ultimately used a knife to kill a Burmese python measuring 18 feet, 8 inches.
That sets a state record for pythons captured or killed in the wild. The previous record measured 17 feet, 7 inches.
Jason Leon was not hunting pythons but, while driving late at night recently in southeast Miami-Dade County, he and a friend spotted about 3 feet of snake protruding from the brush.
Leon applied the brakes, climbed out of the car, grabbed the visible portion of the snake, and began hauling it onto the road.
The giant constrictor responded by trying to wrap its body around one of Leon’s legs, but he was able to dispatch the reptile with a knife.
Burmese pythons are native to grassy marshes of Southeast Asia and can grow to about 23 feet and weigh up to about 200 pounds.
In Florida, where they’ve been released as pets and escaped from wildlife facilities, there are thousands of them, mostly within the Everglades ecosystem.
As such a large and voracious invasive species, they’re a threat to native wildlife. The state would like to eradicate them, if that were possible.
Leon, meanwhile, is being praised.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission issued a news release, in which exotic species specialist Kristen Sommers stated:
“The FWC is grateful to him for both safety removing such a large Burmese python and for reporting its capture…With the help of people like Mr. Leon and our ongoing partnerships with other agencies, the FWC is advancing what we know about Burmese pythons in Florida.”
Leon, who said he once owned Burmese pythons and has experience handling the nonpoisonous snakes, reported the capture via a hotline used for reporting exotic species.
The python was delivered to the University of Florida’s Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center where it was measured and a necropsy was performed.

I KNOW MY WIFE HAS A BOYFRIEND BUT IF SHE LEAVES ME SHE WOULD DIE –– MADU
40-year-old Maxwell Madu on Monday told the Agege Grade ‘A’ Customary Court that if his wife, Grace Oguche, 24, divorces him, she may lose her life instantly.
“She had gone to the village to find a way to break the oath [we had], but they told her it could not be broken except I was present. She is playing with her life.”
Madu said that his wife had taken the sacred oath of kolanut and water with him in her village. He explained that the oath demanded total loyalty to him...
Speaking further, Madu said, “I did not know that my wife was having an extra-marital affair, and she was already pregnant for her boyfriend, although she had a miscarriage. She cheated even though she had taken an oath that she would never leave me. She took the oath in the presence of her people because she had run away from me in the past.
Why is Grace desperate to dump her husband? It's about sex. She begged the court to dissolve her marriage to Madu because he could no longer perform in bed, saying he always fail in his bedroom duties.
She said Madu could not impregnate a woman because they had tried a couple of times but he failed!
“Ever since my husband lost his job, I take care of the responsibilitie
s in the home alone, and he does not appreciate my efforts. He also does not perform well in bed. I cannot continue in this marriage and I do not want to leave my son with him.”
Madu, however, admitted the bedroom problem. He said his wife is never satisfied whenever they had sex, adding that he had started taking medication to make him more effective in the bedroom.
“My son is the reason I did not send her packing when her boyfriend impregnated her. I do not want her to take the child because she would not take care of him. Even she warned me never to leave my child with her.”
OluFamous.Com gathered that the oath and death claims are giving the court problem as to how to judge the case, considering that the woman no longer love her husband. We'll keep you posted.
Madu, however, admitted the bedroom problem. He said his wife is never satisfied whenever they had sex, adding that he had started taking medication to make him more effective in the bedroom.

ALEX FERGUSON'S LAST CHEWING GUM SOLD FOR $600,000!!!
Sir Alex Ferguson’s last piece of chewing gum has reportedly sold for nearly £390,000, with all proceeds going to charity.
A supporter appears to have scraped up the infamous gum from The Hawthorns after yesterday’s Fergie finale between his Manchester United side and West Brom.
The fan then put it on internet auction site eBay in a bid to land some cash for charity, although no one can have foreseen it would have brought in just shy of £400,000.
Fergie has been a ravenous chewer over the course of his 26 years in charge at United and would presumably have got through a fair bit of gum during the crazy 5-5 draw which saw his reign come to an end.
Imagine $600,000 for a used piece of chewing gum being auctioned as a "sporting" item on eBay!!!

"TB JOSHUA AND CHRIS OYAKILOME ARE CULTISTS" - GHANAIAN PASTOR WHO SAYS HE SAW A VISION
Ghanaian Bishop Isaac Owusu Bempah, Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has labeled two of Nigeria's celebrated pastors as partners in winning souls for the devil.
In the words of the controversial Owusu Bempah, the founding President of Believers' LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as "Christ Embassy", Dr Christian Oyakhilome (popularly known as "Pastor Chris") and General Overseer of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun (aka TB) Joshua, are not "true men of God", but leaders of occults, winning souls for the devil.
This claim, according to Owusu-Bempah, is based on God's revelation to him in a vision as well as his own analysis of the scripture, works and conduct of the two popular heads of two religious organisations in Africa.
Owusu-Bempah said he once heard Pastor Chris saying he saw nothing wrong with homosexuality and lesbianism, and wondered which true man of God would lead his flock with such beliefs.
"No doubt he [Pastor Chris] is a friend and partner of TB Joshua", Owusu-Bempa noted last week, claiming both men are dubious men of God who have a pact with the devil.
For Owusu Bempah, Nigerians have allegedly realized the dubious character of the Nigerian televangelist faith healer and founding president of Christ Embassy and his partnership with TB Joshua and have consequently chased him out of the country to South Africa, where he presently resides.
On TB Joshua, Owusu-Bempa claimed he once saw him with his feet on the floor preaching, an incident he said revealed to him that TB Joshua was not from God.
"When you see anyone claiming to worship God who worships with his feet on the ground, he's an occultist. And TB Joshua is an occultist.
"Ask yourself how TB Joshua, who claims God called him, worships with his feet on the ground? Let me tell you if you go to any church and you see the leader worshiping with his feet on the ground, it's a sign of demonism; it's occultic. People like that follow spirits that are not of God. It is occultic."
According to him, God later revealed that TB Joshua was an occultist who did not draw his spiritual powers from God.
"Some time ago, I used to like TB Joshua. I was watching him on television, and the Lord opened my eyes. I saw him with horns on his head, and he had the face of a wolf. His tongue was that of a snake and he had blood smeared all over his mouth."
"Immediately, I rushed into my bedroom, and the Lord told me that he wasn't from Him, but was working under the authority of bad spirits," the pastor added. "That was when I realized TB Joshua was demonic and not of God."
The man who has himself been labeled a false prophet by some of his critics, advised Ghanaians not to be misled by signs of wonders and so-called men of God whose powers do not come from God.
He also accused TB Joshua in particular of sometimes faking miracles to win the confidence of his flock. "He can perform a clean miracle today and contaminate it with a lot of fake ones".
Joshua claimed his "own junior pastor went to his church to be healed. He was forced to sit in a wheel chair and made to claim before the cameras that he had received his healing even though he hadn't. He returned to the country and within two weeks, he passed away", Owusu-Bempah stated.
He again cautioned Ghanaians not to be in a hurry to attend the services of Prophet TB Joshua since he is the "anti-christ."
"If you are a pastor who worked under him and he gets to know you want to reveal his secrets, he kills you directly," Owusu-Bempah alleged.
"If no one is willing to say this, I will say it: TB Joshua is the anti-christ and an agent of the devil... I know of a pastor who attended his church, and when he should tell you about what he saw, your mouth would drop," he stated.

LETTER TO MY PORN STAR SISTER, AFROCANDY - UZOR NGOLADI
Dear Judith Opara Mazagwu,
Whenever I eventually meet you the daring she-dog in person, I shall ask effusively: “Nwanne nwanyi, I bu onye Igbo?” If your answer is affirmative, I shall yell: “Tufia!!!” to high heavens and probe further: “Nna gi na nne gi, ha bu cha ndigbo? Is your father and mother originally Igbos?” If you, the architect of whore-llywood, return a negative answer, I shall heave the deepest sigh of relief and dance with reckless abandon. I shall wail with anguish if your parents are truly of the noble Igbo stock.
Opara’s daughter, what has the Igbos who pride their women in purity, decorum and royalty done to you? What has Ikemba’s people done to deserve the putrid essence you displayed in that raunchy movie trailer? The dignity of womanhood, you desecrated shamelessly. You should have converted your nomenclature to that of the animal kingdom before you set the cameras rolling. Who called the shots for filming that monstrosity that debased womanhood and motherhood? Yes, you suffered child abuse but how does being raped at the age of 19 confer a porn star designation? Who sponsored the spread of your genitals in public sphere with that pervert who wants his scenes deleted after the collateral damage had been done? I hope a copy of Destructive Instinct will be delivered to Censors Board in Nigeria for classification.
Judith Opara, that bald headed bloke was actually squeezing, kissing and caressing your buttocks and boobs on camera while you were letting out uhhhs and ahhhs? You had the nerve to upload same online? What manner of poverty configured the mental faculties of a 41 year old mother of two to engage in pornography and display the sex tape on the internet without consideration for her children’s future? It is an abomination in Igbo land nay Africa for a child to behold his mother in such intense sexing expedition. Not even sex starved rapists dare to devour a victim before her child’s very eyes. I hope your children will never watch Destructive Instinct, the atrocity you produced.
Until we can trace your lineage to Igbo kindred, I doubt the language of your name. I challenge your brothers, sisters, cousins aunts, uncles (your parents are most definitely dead), friends, relatives, classmates etc to write a rejoinder and authenticate your tribe. I enjoin other concerned brethren both at home and in the Diaspora not to judge you harshly but pray to God whom you offended with impunity, to hasten a financial breakthrough that will discourage your big screen whorish aspiration. Your choice of career is an aberration to us, of eastern Nigeria.
I solicit for contributions from public spirited Nigerians and Africans. Afro Candy is in dire need of rehabilitation – mentally, medically, financially, spiritually and otherwise. A psychiatrist facility will do a lot for Ada anyi nwanyi. The woman who can perform unclad, naked on stage owes a psychotherapist
a visit.
My dearest sister, conduct a thorough research and you will discover that blue film practitioners are never regarded, not even in Hollywood. I advise you to refrain from sexual motion pictures that will further saturate our cyber space with unwholesome content.

DRAMA IN COURT: 21-YR-OLD MOTHER OF 5 CAUSES STIR OVER 'HUNGER
There was a mild drama at the premises of an Ikeja Magistrate Court, Monday, when a 21- year-old woman, Esther Odozi, a farmer, rolled on the ground and screamed that she and her children were at the verge of dying from hunger.
Odozi, who said she lives in Owanta village in Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, came to Lagos last week and because she didn’t have anywhere to sleep, slept at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries where she begged for money to come to the old secretariat in Ikeja.
Odozi at the court premises, Monday. She said she was directed by an official of Human Rights Commission in her state to come to Lagos that she would get help.
According to her, she needed N200,000 for garri and melon business and would not leave Lagos until she got the money for the business.
Odozi who said she bore the five children to one Donald Ugbaja, a former police officer in Delta State, said she was left alone to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of the children including twins after his death.
Odozi who brought out her breasts to demonstrate that she still had a child she was nursing, said she didn’t have any means to feed herself and her children. She said if the Governor of Lagos State could give her N200,000, she would start business with it.
Asked if she would like to be trained in any skill, she said no, adding that she just needs the money to start the business of garri and melon.
She appealed to the Federal Government and well-meaning Nigerians to come to her aid, adding that she started having children when she was only 17 years old and that the father of her children drove her out after she had the fifth child.

I CHERISH LOVELY BOOBS, SMOOTH FACES - BOY ALINCO
Bayo Bankole better known as Boy Alinco came into the limelight acting as one of the characters in the Papa Ajasco and company series. The graduate of Drama from the Obafemi Awolowo University of Ife has since become a household name in Nollywood. He speaks with Joan Omionawele on his journey into acting, his new movie, his family, among other issues. Continue to read excerpts from the interview ... Why and when did you go into acting?
Well, that is something I cannot really explain, my life as actor started when I was young, I attended African Church Secondary School and I was a strong member of the drama club. Fortunately for us, we had a teacher who was art inclined. I usually played lead roles even though that was amateur stuff, but after secondary school, I discovered National Theatre and the place was not far from where I lived.
During those days, I could not afford to pay for transport, I therefore used to trek to National Theatre for rehearsals. I think Lisabi Theatre, which is still there really created the opportunity for me to go into acting.
There was this big guy, Hakeem Akinmoladun, who used to play basketball and used to come around and then fans would mill around him to hail him, I always looked at him from a distance and quietly wished I was a superstar. Maybe this was among the things that prompted me to go into acting. Also, I think it is a career God has chosen for me.
How has the journey been?
It has been so wonderful and interesting, there have been ups and downs but nothing comes so easy. But in arts and entertainment, you get to a level where you get established and you must have set a standard for yourself and people appreciate you and discover that you are well endowed and ups and downs will become history. At a point, an artiste gets well created and appreciated.
What is the difference between Bayo Bankole and Boy Alinco
I have dropped that name since 2007, but Bayo Bankole is a serious and focused person unlike Boy Alinco, who was portrayed as a playboy.
Why did you drop it?
It is a question I really do not want to answer, there have been different insinuations about my departure from Wale Adenuga Productions, I really don’t want to open old wounds.
What are you doing at the moment?
I have my own production outfit, I am an MC too.
What’s next for you?
I have produced a new movie, called Oloja Ire, and its been out since late last year. I have been a freelance actor all my life, and I am not really under any control
How did you and Pepeye fit so well into those roles?
I acted with just one Pepeye, Eunice Alele, a wonderful lady
(cuts in)..Are you still in contact with her?
She is outside the country now. I have lost her contact as we haven’t spoken in years.
We had a perfect chemistry because we were like a family, it was like we shared a bond, we joked when appropriate. We were like a team, I could call Pa James a vulture and I could tease Papa Ajasco about his big tommy, on and off set, we were like brothers and sisters.
And that is the only way you can have a perfect comedy, When there is no complex, you don’t feel inferior and you don’t feel superior, a perfect blend creates a perfect team for situational comedy.
Are you trying to say some people were making you feel inferior?
No, don’t get me wrong, I mean in comedy, you must have a brotherly relationship because it gives you a perfect way to express yourself. Comedy is an internal thing. Check out the stand-up comedians we have today, though I am not a stand-up comedian, what I know about stand-up comedy in terms of performance is that the comedian must have a perfect synergy with the audience. If not, there is no way the comedian would not make a mess of himself because he would either not be able to please the audience or be misunderstood.
You are meeting them one on one and that flow must be perfect. So, when you are having a situational comedy, that’s comedy for television, the whole team must be able to relate with ease.
The whole team must be able to joke among themselves, abuse one another, using light jokes. For instance, the Boy Alinco now might not be able to insult Pa James and that is what really works out. The relationship between the whole team was beyond the series. This was a man that made me develop goose pimples the first day I met him on set because I used to watch him when I was a little child.
Why were you chosen for the role?
I cannot really explain it, but I would say destiny brought me to act the role
(Cuts in..) Not your character, perfection or physique?
Owo blow was shot in 1995 and the guy that shot the movie was with Wale Adenuga at AIT, Mr Niyi Wuraola. I was in school then, but I used to come from Ife for the recording every weekend. I saw the audition notice for Papa Ajasco and Company and refused to go because I wouldn’t want to go there and it would turn out to be a movie and I would have to leave school and spend two to three weeks recording movies.
That Saturday, I returned for the shooting of “Magnet” another soap I was acting, I got the card of Mr Wale Adenuga from my boss, Mr Taiwo Ogundipe, he told me that Mr Adenuga was telling them that he had gotten every other character except ‘Boy Alinco” and Mr Wuraola immediately told him that he needed to go and look for me, once you get him, you have gotten your character. And that was it.
What was your background like?
I grew up at Ebute Metta and attended African Church Primary School,
And your parents allowed you to study Drama? Those days, parents either wanted their children to be lawyers and doctors or what do you think?
Well, when I decided to study drama, I was already fending for myself. After my secondary school, I worked briefly with Federal Radio Corperation of Nigeria for about two years and after that, I had to resign to go back to school.
Are you thinking of going into full-time comedy?
I cannot go into full-time comedy, as I am already an actor. I am so flexible that I can do anything, act anything, I do not want to be a clown.
So, you can act softer roles?
Of course, you need to see my new movie Oloja Ire, when you see it you would see the real me. I was able to really express and purgate emotions
But that is not the impression that people have?
Well, maybe that was because of the Boy Alnico character, I am a very serious and flexible person, I can fit perfectly into any role.
What do you value most in life?
My family is irreplaceable, I value my environment, my people and the people around me.
For how many years have you been married?
Nine years…
What has been your most painful experience in life?
I don’t think I have one.
Why, are you not a human being?
I don’t get pissed off easily because of my religion, I am a Christian Cabalist.
What does it mean to be a Christian Cabalist?
Cabalas are a set of Christians who believe that Jesus Himself was the perfect example of a Cabalist. Believing in Cabala and believing in Christ makes you a Christian Cabalist. As a Cabalist, we don’t feel pain because whatever happens to us is the way we have planned it. I have been able to manage my life and so there is no pain.
During the making of the soap opera, there was a rumour that you were very frivolous and non challant?
I am not surprised about the impression people have about me because I live my life the way it comes. Yes, I used to smoke, but I did not stop because I had cough or tuberculosis, I stopped because I needed to stop and in my negotiation with God, I told him that I wanted to stop.and I stopped.
What is the most embarrassing thing you have done?
I can never be embarrassed.
Who is your role model?
Al Paccino, Olu Jacobs. Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett, Sola Fosudo and Ola Rotimi. They are wonderful people.
What kind of people can’t you work or live with?
I don’t run away from people, but I don’t like catty people, cats are close to man but not as close as dogs. You know when a dog is angry but you can never know when a cat is angry, they are very sly, and sly people are dangerous.
Is there anything you did then that you feel you should have done better?
I don’t think of the past, I think of the future and try to move with time.
In other words, are you fulfilled?
To God be the glory, yes. If I don’t do what I am doing, I would have been a filling station attendant.
Are you still in contact with Wale Adenuga?
I just did a soap entitled Itohan with him.
So, you don’t have any rift with him?
He is a very nice and wonderful person, we had our personal differences which have been sorted out.
What qualities do you look out for in a woman?
Brain and beauty
What specific attributes do you look out for, every man looks for brain and beauty?
…Lovely boobs, smooth face.
Well, that is something I cannot really explain, my life as actor started when I was young, I attended African Church Secondary School and I was a strong member of the drama club.

My family is irreplaceable, I value my environment, my people and the people around me.

I don’t think I have one.

I can never be embarrassed.

To God be the glory, yes. If I don’t do what I am doing, I would have been a filling station attendant.

Not long after her break up with Chris Brown, Rihanna is already out looking for her next lay.
The bad girl recently posted a tweet about needing just sex
Is she to be commended for being brave enough to know what she wants? Or do you think it's time for her to slow down on this 'bad girl' act.?
