The Shithead Award Goes to..... Adel Imam

He was the funniest man in the business, he has his won style of comedy and can tell a joke like no one else can. But when it came to politics he was a giant idiot. First he has always bee supportive of President Hosny Mubarak and his regime. He has work din movies that pushes the regime agenda on subjects like corruption and terrorism to normalization with Israel.

His movies are often blockbuster films and bring in a lot of money, why would he need to change that? On the first day of the protests in Cairo and other cities and towns in Egypt. He issues a press release condemning the protester calling them tugs and chaotic bunch. When that blew up in his face and when the protesters starting getting killed, kidnapped, tortured and then attacked. Adel Imam changes him mine and sounded like a populist Arab leader. No one bought that and his fate is sealed, he is now out ot touch and he cannot do anything to make things right.

For more than 30 years this actor has been a cheerleader for the regime and he even supported Gamal Mubarak to take over the country after his father. But my beef with this actor is his stands on Gaza. While the people of Gaza were under attacks in 2008 and 2009, he was calling to people not to support Gaza and there were reports he called for an anti Gaza rally. So his history is long in doing and saying the wrong things...that's why the actor took to the the time to do an phone interview with Alarabiya to try to clear his name. It's fine to change your mind, people will forgive you, but to try to change the facts when the wind changes no one anywhere can tolerate that.

I do not think there is anyone fooled by this lame attempted to try to reinvent Adel Imam history who now says he has always been in support of the protesters which he wasn't and never was. It took him 30 years to convince us that he is a funny clown, now we know for fact that he is on indeed all around. The comments on any article that talks about Adel Imam stands on Mubarak and the demonstrations, the comments assail this hypocrite and call him out on his bullshit.
