Funke Akindele set to wed


Funke Akindele of the ‘Return of Jenifa’ fame is set to wed. Connoisseur.com learnt that May 26 is billed for the family-traditional introduction while the wedding proper is expected to take place in a yet-to-be fixed date in December.

Funke Akindele wins two ZUMA Awards


Star actress, Funke Akindele, on Wednesday won two awards at the Zuma Film Festival in Abuja. She received a nomination for her role in the Tunde Kelani movie, MAAMi. Her movie, The Return of Jenifa was also nominated for the Highest Box Office Award.

Big congratulations to her.

Nollywood loses male colleague days after Prophet TB Joshua's prophecy


The death fever that has rocked the movie industry since seems to have resumed its break after the death of Gringory in February 28, when it last happened.
According to news that just broke, Nollywood has lost one of its own to the cold hands of death.
This time, it is a movie director named Taiwo Bello. Taiwo died today after a battle with cancer.
Taiwo once worked with Funke Akindele in one of her movies.
Just some days ago, Prophet TB Joshua prophesied that Nollywood will soon lose one of its players.

Nollywood stars headed to the Eko Hotels and Suites on Easter Sunday (April 8, 2012) for a night of fun and relaxation at the AY Live comedy show. The show, which is hosted annually by Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun (popularly known as AY) was a total success, and guests at the show had an unforgettable time.Nollywood stars at the event include Ramsey Nouah, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele, Monalisa Chinda, Rukky Sanda, Omoni Oboli, Kunle Afolayan, Jackie Appiah, Osita Iheme, and John Dumelo.
