Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is to visit Akwa Ibom in next month, the Niger Delta Young Professionals, a non governmental group, has said.
The Chairman of the Niger Delta Young Professional, Mr Moses Siasia, made the announcement when he paid a courtesy visit on Gov. Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom on Friday.
Siasia said that Zuckerberg had been invited as one of the guest speakers during his groups youth economic summit, scheduled to hold in Uyo from May 28 to May 29.

Aniekeme Finbarr, it could be recalled shot in to fame with his great presentation skills and mastery of ‘Oyinbo’ language which made him a listeners’ delight at BushHouse.
But since the program was yanked off the air (on AKBC Radio) early last year on the heels of a very controversial political interview, Finbarr had been off the widely followed program even when it resumed operations on Kapital FM and later Radio Nigeria network.
We learnt he had initially refused relocating to Abuja but may have been persuaded by the owner of the media outfit, Michael Bush which he later gave in to.

It was a thing of shame and embarrassment as this top Akwa Ibom born actor and producer was caught on Valentine’s Day getting it down with an upcoming actress inside an abandoned car outside a hotel in the Uyo city center.
We gathered from a source on the spot that the married actor who is one of the big boys when it comes to movies in the South-South is a married man with three kids and those who saw him were really shocked that he could not even have the decency to get a room in the hotel to carry out his activities but preferred to have a quick one with the young girl in an abandoned car. But another source who was at the hotel hinted us that the actor who is known for his philandering ways,actually had another babe in the hotel where a Valentine show was on and when the young actress came calling,he had to take her out to the abandoned car to satisfy his libido.
The s*x-crazed duo,we gathered,was caught by the security man who quickly called the manager of the hotel to see what he saw.
The melee attracted other patrons of the hotel who were amazed that a star some of them adored and looked up to was actually the one misbehaving.
The Commissioner for Information in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Aniekan Umanah has promised to partner the rave-making E101magazine in order to showcase the state and its entertainment endowments to the world. Mr. Umanah stated this while receiving the magazine’s crew today at his office.

One of Akwa Ibom’s biggest boys in the music industry, Pasto Goody Goody is set to return to Lagos which is the hub of entertainment industry in the country. Goody dropped the hint in an interaction with Connoisseur.com today. He said his return was necessary in order to return himself into reckoning in the industry.
“I came back to Akwa Ibom with the mindset of burying my dad and then return to Lagos immediately but when I came, I realized that there were so many things I had to settle before I return to Lagos. I needed to make my people really feel me that is why I did the “Made in Akwa Ibom” album. I had been out of the industry for like 6 years and I needed to start from my homesoil to re-create that fanbase again before I get back to Lagos”.
“Funny enough, in the time past, I used to stay in Lagos and be visiting Akwa Ibom once in a while, but now it is going to be the reverse.”
It could be recalled that the Afo do Legend crooner launched the “Made in Akwa Ibom” album late last year and had since re-carved a niche for himself while bouncing back in a grand style with the album.

Nsikak Umoh a.k.a Bonic who made it to the top 30 at the on-going Nigerian Idol arrived Uyo this evening from Lagos via Akwa Ibom International Airport and will be hosted tomorrow, Friday for a ‘welcome back’ party.
The event tagged “Celebrating Nsikak Umoh” will hold at popular celebrity hang out, 2ndBaze from 7pm.
There will be a red-carpet which will be graced by celebrities and other guests. Nsikak is expected to perform while also using the opportunity to thank his fans for the support they showed him while he was at the reality TV show.
The show is packaged by top celebrity magazine – E101. Meanwhile, the magazine’s spokesman, Asteroid Bassey has opined on why the event is necessary.
“Nsikak Umoh did not win the top prize nor did he make it to the top 10 of the show but he has carved a niche for himself by making it to the last 30. Nsikak is a star in the making. Research has shown that top stars that make it in the music industry are not products of reality TV shows, only few are. Even in yankee, top music icons are not graduates of American Idol nor other music reality TV shows. 2face Idibia, D’banj, MI and plenty others are not products of reality TV shows. The show was determined by votes. It is rather unfortunate that he didn’t have enough votes to propel him to the zenith of the show but he has got great talent. We know he has a great future ahead of him that is why E101magazine is putting up this event to celebrate him”, said Asteroid who is the Associate Editor of the magazine.
It could be recalled that Nsikak was the only Akwa Ibom star who made it to the top 30 of the show but failed to make it to top 10 neither was he called back for the wild-card show by the judges which could have given him another opportunity to make it to the last ten.
The on-going court battle involving the sitting Governor of Akwa Ibom, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio and Engr. Frank Okon over the PDP primaries that were held on 15 January, 2011 has been adjourned again. The case which was heard today by Justice Kafarti was adjourned to March 6, 2011.
