Nigerian Breweries PLC recenly revealed that top entertainers including 2face Idibia, Tiwa Savage, Waje, D’banj, Wizkid, Obesere, Flavour, 9ice and other top entertainers are headlined for this year’s edition of Star Trek.
Titled ‘Nigeria Rocks‘, this year’s edition of the nation-wide concert will run from May 25 to June 23. Organisers say cities to be covered include Ibadan, Makurdi, Ilesha, Lagos, and Sapele. Others are Awka, Abakaliki, Uyo and Calabar.

Aniekeme Finbarr Ukpong, the self-styled Prime Minister of the Airwaves has sneaked out of Uyo, the AkwaIbomState capital. He quietly flew off to Abuja to take up his appointment as the S.A on Programmes and Presentation at WorldWin Media, owners of BushHouse Nigeria.
Aniekeme Finbarr, it could be recalled shot in to fame with his great presentation skills and mastery of ‘Oyinbo’ language which made him a listeners’ delight at BushHouse.
But since the program was yanked off the air (on AKBC Radio) early last year on the heels of a very controversial political interview, Finbarr had been off the widely followed program even when it resumed operations on Kapital FM and later Radio Nigeria network.
We learnt he had initially refused relocating to Abuja but may have been persuaded by the owner of the media outfit, Michael Bush which he later gave in to.

Javis, which was the happening club in Akwa Ibom few months ago seems to have gone moribund. A visit to the place shows that there is no activity taking place there.
A report had reached Connoisseur.com last year that the club was heading to becoming moribund because of the managerial ineptitude of a certain Edu Offong who was the manager.
We learnt that Edu now is not in the state as she is on National Youth Service Corps.
Javis was undoubtedly the hottest club in Uyo last year as a Wednesdays and Fridays without clubbing there was not complete for some Uyo big boys & chicks and even top rated and money spending politicians.
The recent position of the club has raised some eyebrows and a source of concern for some people.
We learnt that one of the top comedians in Nigeria, Ayo Makun popularly known as AY stormed Uyo, the AkwaIbomStatecapital on the just concluded valentine’s day for a show. Connoisseur.com learnt authoritatively that AY was paid for a valentine’s day show in Uyo which was billed to take place at Amazing Grace e-centre but the event however didn’t hold because of poor turnout.
“AY was in town. The event couldn’t hold because we had about 6 people only in the hall and you know AY couldn’t talk to empty chairs, in implication the val show didn’t hold”, said the source.
Connoisseur.com further learnt that after poor outing, AY was taken to government house where he gave our multiple-award winning and most-decorated governor of all time, Governor Akpabio the award of the Best Governor in Nigeria.

The National President of PMAN, Ras Murphy is set the storm the city of Uyocome February 14 for the mother of all concerts. Tagged the PMAN Love and Unity concert, the event is a brainchild of AKS PMAN aimed at fogging brotherliness among Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians at large.
The sole administrator of AKS PMAN, Pastor Jeremy Ekong hinted Connoisseur.com that various deserving PMAN members in AKS will be honoured at the event by the National President.
This list includes Mista Xto as Chairman Board of Trustees, Obong Akpabio as Chairman state caucus and Ete Ntia, chairman elders forum. Pastor Ekong invites all Akwa Ibomites to come out en masse on Feb 14 to the prestigious IbomPlaza for a concert that promises to be unforgettable.
Connoisseur.com has learnt exclusive that the founder of Save Nigeria Group (SNG), Pastor Tune Bakare is in Uyo, the AkwaIbomState capital. We scooped that Bakare who was conspicuous seen during the recent nationwide strike and protest against fuel subsidy was in Radio Nigeria Atlantic FM, Uyo this morning.
We are told by a source that he is in Uyo for a church program.
One of the leading comedians in the state, James Emmanuel Essien popularly known as Sir James is on the verge of releasing an audio comedy work. James who is the President of apex comedians union in the state, Comedians International intimated your soar away online celebrity news portal - Connoisseur.com today that he is currently in the studio recording the work.“I’m working on the stuff now. Rumours making the rounds has it that actor Moses Armstrong has been appointed Special Adviser on Entertainment to Governor Goodwill Akpabio. This has been the discussion of some stakeholders in the industry and some celebrity sites have published stories insinuating that Armstrong has been given the
appointment but CONNOISSEUR has scooped from a source close to Gov. Akpabio that the fair skinned actor has been pressing for the appointment but it has not yet been ratified by Gov.Akpabio.
It could be recalled that the self-styled Akwa Ibom’s finest and most celebrated (Hotel accommodated) actor organized an e-stars endorsement rally for Akpabio sometime last year and there was an imbroglio over the sharing of the N30m that was approved by Gov. Akpabio for the event. Since relocating from Lagos, Moses as been trying to make it big in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital and he is currently the chairman of Ibom Actors Forum.
